  1. Sure, use that story when you explain to security that you are not bringing a baby monitor. I am sure they will be interested in seeing who you actually do want to monitor.
  2. How exactly do you use something appropriately if it is on the prohibited list?
  3. This is the only thread I have seen regarding reimbursement.
  4. Still very early for refund then. I would give it a little time. Have you submitted receipts for food and the condo yet? That will come as a separate reimbursement. I isolated in a hotel in Seattle and then flew home to the east coast after the time was done. I get the fresh air thing as I didn't leave the hotel room the whole time.
  5. I received my refund in three weeks. I did get an email about ten days prior to that telling me the amount of the refund and that the request had been submitted. I have not received my reimbursement for hotel charges and food costs yet but the letter says it is taking about 30 days. How long ago did you get off the ship?
  6. Baby monitors are listed as not allowed on the cruise line's website. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/prohibited-items-onboard-policy
  7. I was on the 5/16 sailing of Quantum and we left Seattle on time but then slowly stopped not too far from the pier. There was no announcement of what was going on but the wake kept changing as we moved a little. We eventually left about an hour later.
  8. The cruise line initiated the prorated refund of my cruise fare and that is what I have received so far. I sent my hotel receipts and food receipts over three weeks ago and received an email saying it will take 30 days for reimbursement. I have not heard anything else concerning that reimbursement. I did receive a survey for the cruise fare refund experience. I will wait at least the 30 days they said and go from there. Hopefully, I don't receive a denied like you did. I think whoever processed yours made a mistake. I hope you get it resolved soon.
  9. My refund came in about 3 weeks, still waiting on hotel/food reimbursement.
  10. We have stayed on deck 7 and it is fine. The issue is at the aft elevators. On other decks you can cross from port to starboard between the elevator banks. You can't on deck 7 because of the Boardwalk sign. We only used the wrong elevators once all week and just had to go down one deck, cross over and then go back up. It is not a big deal unless you have a mobility issue and are directionally challenged.
  11. We like an ocean view balcony on deck 6. We find it very convenient. You are on same deck as Boardwalk, one flight of stairs down to Royal Promenade or two flights up to Central Park.
  12. @dani negreanuI am so sorry you tested positive. Stay hydrated and rest as much as you can. Hope you start feeling better soon.

  14. Below Deck Sailing Yacht reunion tonight! They have been teasing that there is someone Capt Glenn would not hire again. I think it is Ashley.
  15. You can check in 45 days prior to your sailing at midnight local time for the port you are sailing from. App or website is a personal choice. I used website and was done in less than a minute. 10:30am was the earliest time that I could choose to arrive at that port.
  16. I looked at your post history after someone asked how soon you were cruising and them not understanding how things could be sold out.
  17. I am now very confused as the above says you are in two cabins and not one. That is a quote from a different thread you posted to previously. Your current thread says you were moved from one cabin to two cabins yet two weeks ago you posted you were in two cabins, not one.
  18. The elevator is in a separate lobby, not the cabin corridor, so it can be more convenient to be near them. The balcony doors do have a child lock up high on the side of the door that I can not open half the time if that is your concern. The balcony divider likely can be opened to give you a double sized balcony. You could always set up the port a crib in one cabin with the connecting door open and have the two "big ones" sleep in your cabin anyway. The second cabin gives you a good nap area or play area. I would be upset that they changed your cabins and push for OBC, but don't let it wreck you cruise!
  19. Check in when it becomes available to do so and wait to upload you vaccine card. Not worth confusing things. It took less than 12 hours for my vaccine card to be validate once we were actually able to upload them. Ours were not even availalable to upload until a few weeks before sailing, though check-in was available earlier.
  20. We also have our set sail pass on our phones but we put them in our wallet on our iphone so we do not need internet to access them. We also have copies of everything we need in a separate folder on our phone so we can just go picture to picture.
  21. You can cruise with your birth certificate and a government issued photo ID. You have used these documents for three cruises already, you will be fine. You are sailing a closed loop cruise from a US port, you meet the requirements. You are in transit while in Canada and meet the requirements. The ArriveCan information is on the Royal Caribbean website and should be in your cruise documents. We received multiple emails from the cruise line about ArriveCan prior to our recent Alaska sailing.
