I’m sorry, lazy? I put in 42 hard working years, raised 2 kids, primary babysitter in waiting for 4 grandkids and am the on call fill in for my previous job. I EARN every minute of my free time.

Ok now I have a funny story. First cruise, 2002 on the then Nordic Empress to Bermuda. Night 4 is stuffed sole which i absolutely love. I order it with eager anticipation only to be told they had run out. 🥺🥺 So he brings me a piece of fried fish that was not very good (maybe tilapia???😁). I push it around my plate and eat more appetizers from the buffet. Of course he notices. “But madame, you did not like your dinner?” And we are off to the races. There is a captains meeting on the ship, I get a plate of assorted goodies from their dinner. The HW informs the chef that I did not like my replacement and he makes 2 stuffed soles special for me and sends them up. I now have THREE full dinners in front of me and the waiter & head waiter standing there … waiting. I though I was gonna explode!!

Never found that to be the case. Although I agree sole tastes better, I enjoy tilapia. If you use a blast furnace on it, it will dry out & be tough but that’s true of any overcooked fish. Tilapia is thinner than sole so it’s easier to overcook.

This is not new. Pretty sure this has been the case for a long time.

I get that and I’ve seen it done too but this was a big rusty hole in the floor of my balcony. And the God knows why tinted windows were filthy!!! Clearly no one cleaning them recently

Yes. My plan for nights the entrees are not great is to order multiple appetizers with a couple of sides.

Frankly, I see MOST of what we ordered on Explorer last month. I still see something I’d like just about every night. Maybe I’m just not paying enough attention but except for dropping the classic options, doesn’t look that different to me.

Maybe they could get rid of some of the rust (sorry, not sure why the picture is upside down) and clean the filthy balcony windows. First cruise I could not enjoy sitting on my balcony. Oh and perhaps add a few TV’s in more than one tiny bar. You practically needed reservations to watch the WS.

I will add that you get more room if the bed is split into 2 twins. We actually put one bed sideways along the back wall & the other abutting it like an inverted “L”. Opened up a lot of floor space. I also strongly agree with the ziplock bag trick mentioned above. Did it with my kids and now the grandkids whenever we take a trip. It was a lifesaver at Disney! Pick a bag, any bag, and put it all on.

It would have been easiest to bring cash with you!

It’s not buy one get one free, it’s buy one get one half price. That sale is run pretty frequently but remember the price listed IS the discounted price. For example mine shows $72.99. That’s the price period. It’s not one at $72.99 and one for half of that.

Not sure why you’d splurge on a tech accessory that you have lots of at home? Will it not fit in the suitcase?? Sorry, missed that you are already on board.

We pay up front to have it out of the way. But I really posted to say that you should not put your username as the title of your post. No one knows what your question/comment is. Title it with a brief description of what you want to know/say. For example - “Prepaid Gratuities”

Kids are certainly allowed in the bars on board and can get a non alcoholic beverage.

$236.99 plus gratuity is $279.64 so it’s a savings of a few bucks each? CP purchases usually end in either .99 or an even dollar amount before gratuity so I think the $282.94 included gratuities?

Loved the solarium on Explorer, great social atmosphere without the craziness of the main pool. You could easily talk to other cruisers & the bar was terrific. Those too young (and one woman vaping??) were politely asked to leave. We hung out there every day.

We used SAS Transportation, good service, $15 pp each way. Do be aware, boarding will probably not start until 10:30/11AM

The attitude here is appalling. I’ll just pretend to be a right/left wing gun toting, they’re all guilty type. No one will select me and that part of being a patriotic American can be somebody else’s problem. So much for the right to be judged by a jury of your peers. Wait, maybe I don’t want people who would do that on a jury.
