  1. I was pretty sure the freestyle machines have DP and diet DP.
  2. Teens being teens, maybe you SHOULD have shared a room with them! My kids are well into adulthood but back in the day, I wouldn’t trust my son as far as I could throw him in this regard. He would not be out causing trouble but he would definitely have snuck out. We got a bigger room & all stayed in it. Peace of mind 😉
  3. Be aware, snorkeling is VERY weather dependent. We have had every snorkeling excursion we’ve ever booked (3 so far) cancelled due to weather. Beginning to think God is trying to tell me something. Without that, there is NOTHING to do on Bonaire.
  4. I would never count on just showing up for anything. Suites will be contacted by the concierge precruise. I gave them all my reservation requests including which nights we wanted to eat in CK. They sent an email back confirming what I requested. Might not be particularly spontaneous but I knew we had what I wanted.
  5. 14, 13, 12, 11! In my family we called that Polish Twins and I have lots of twin cousins! (yes I am Polish)
  6. Got it. Silly me thinking I could pull up next week’s sailing & see it.
  7. Is the Bistro open now on Harmony? I’m looking at our dining options for May and I can’t find in in the app under restaurants. It’s in my CP to reserve (it’s a complementary dining option yes?) but no menu there. Does anyone have access to menus?
  8. It’s got me thinking more and more about the 3 night dining package for Harmony in May. We’ve never had a problem eating in the MDR. There was always something we liked. I want to give the new menus a chance but having different options a few nights might be good.
  9. On Explorer over Halloween, we got the old style, not my favorite. Only hubby had the soda package but the bartender gave us 2 cups. Tried to hand it back saying I didn’t get one. He shrugged & said have a nice day.
  10. Probably but I’m guessing the weight limit is posted somewhere in advance. If one knows they will exceed that limit, I would think it’s on them not to book.
  11. We sailed out of Miami over Halloween and flew into and stayed near Ft Lauderdale airport. Hotels are much cheaper and found SAS Transportation at $15pp each way reasonable and efficient.
  12. That’s me. I somehow have an internal alarm clock and have never overslept in my adult life. It’s a great little talent . Unfortunately I have retired and there is no snooze button in my head!!!
  13. I see nothing in the email indicating boarding day is different. Where do you see it mentioned?
  14. Born in the 70’s??? I have bunions older than you!😄😄
  15. My deepest sympathies. No parent should have to bury a child. My comment applied under normal circumstances which yours are not. My prayers for you and your family.
  16. No, even NA beer has trace amounts of alcohol and is not allowed.
  17. We live close enough to Vermont to have the real thing just up the road. But I find it thick & sweet. I actually like jam on my pancakes & waffles. And now I do understand about the bedding! Have a great trip!!
  18. Ok I gotta ask why? Why your own bedding? Of course we fly so they would be out of the question but I can’t imagine why I would need to. I do some of my best sleeping on a cruise.
  19. The only overpacking I do is OTC meds. I have everything anyone on board might ever need! Cold medicine, Dramamine, Imodium, Tylenol, ibuprofen, sunscreen, aloe, pepto, ambesol, benedryl, bandages, moleskin, antiseptic. You name it, I got it. I can wear outfits more than once & wash stuff in the sink but no way am I gonna be without an OTC!!
  20. IMO, and in MHO only, the base wages of a land based wait staff is lowered in anticipation of the difference being covered by tips and, at least in the case of good/better restaurants, that tip is shared with the busboys. This was the case back when my mother was a waitress at a higher end restaurant. At a hotel, there is no presumption of tips and wages are not based on receiving them (although tipping the cleaning staff is pretty common). On the ship, all parties who receive some of the auto-grats must have their wages adjusted for them. The $3 allotted to the laundry staff (made up amount) is factored into their base pay. If one were to remove that daily tip & only give to face to face staff, the laundry folks’ wages are reduced. Now I’m not saying it’s our fault that the system is set up this way. But since it is, are we not penalizing those stuck behind the scenes if we only tip those with whom we interact?
