  1. So again, the sushi side & the hibachi side are separate and never the twain shall meet? The sushi lovers want sushi, the non lovers don’t so we could not all eat together correct?
  2. So are you talking the hibachi side? My understanding is that this separate from the sushi side. Can’t do them together can we?
  3. Trouble as I see it is GF now knows about it and will want to dress to the nines!
  4. Good question, I have 4 sushi eaters, 1 maybe & 2 definitely not. What could they eat?
  5. It’s still a thing, just not as big as it used to be. Some people go all out, others not so much.
  6. So am I correct here? If this is indeed implemented fleetwide by our May cruise, the “kids” in a balcony room will get one service per day which they can choose to be done in the evening allowing them to sleep off the previous night’s festivities. The other 2 cabins are Junior Suites and will get 2 per day including opening & closing the sofa bed as needed?
  7. Don’t think it makes a difference when he cruised with you, only what your status was prior to him turning 18. Assuming his number was linked to yours when he DID cruise with you, his status matched yours. If you were Diamond when he turned 18, so was he.
  8. How did she lose her status by adding her husband?
  9. So your son wants to take advantage of what appears to be an error in the system to avail himself of perks to which he is not entitled AND extend them to his wife too?
  10. In Cozumel we went to Nachi Cocum, had a great day. In May we are trying Mr Sancho.
  11. You can use any method you want. Just be sure to be back in plenty of time. Ship will not wait for you if you are late unless on a ship sponsored excursion.
  12. I don’t book excursions through Royal but they have been available for my May cruise for months now. Seems like a reasonable assortment.
  13. Yup, 3 extra weeks to hold onto my money and reward points to boot. Hubby & I went without in November just as a test. Package would have cost $1400 for 2 on an 8 day cruise. Total on my account for our OOP drinking $325 plus the cost of 2 bottles of carry on wine.
  14. PER mixed drink?!?!? There is no way I would ever need a drink badly enough to pay $32 for one. Did Jerry Jones deliver it personally???
  15. Everyone has a different break even point. Hubby & I don’t drink enough consistently to justify but we just hit Diamond so our 4 per day is plenty plus I do bring 2 bottles of wine. Daughter is also going without. Extra wine (different cabin) and OOP for her. Son on the other hand will more than make it worth buying so he’s getting it. They are in the same cabin but I called & got her the refreshment package instead. She does like her specialty coffee.
  16. Your age?!?! I have corns older than you!
  17. Didn’t really have any issues, filled out the form, submitted requested documentation & got the FCCs. Tom was not happy he only got 90% but that was what the policy stated. He did contact Mbayley@rccl.com & the very nice representative gave ALL of us $100 in OBC on our May do over cruise (that’s 7 people to compensate 2 missing the cruise) plus some in room goodies for all 3 cabins. Don’t tell me that email address does no good! So at the end of the day he got CPs, fees, etc back on his card, 90% of his cruise fare, all of his SWA points PLUS $500+ in SWA vouchers that don’t expire, $700 in OBC for us all to share on May plus goodies in our cabins. I’d say it turned out ok for him.
  18. Yes, he did not cancel, he was a no show. Insurance through RCCL. The refund of all things I mentioned was pretty quick as I recall, maybe 2 weeks. The FCCs a month later. As to the voucher from SWA, he sent a polite but disappointed email & got the vouchers in response. He had 3 flights from 3 different airports cancelled and so did quite a bit of driving between.
  19. My exact question, what does a “DBP lady” look like???
  20. Yes to this, he had screenshots of all three cancelled flights. OCD that I am, I screenshot schedules from all three airports to show no availability for 2 days AND the news reports from the Boston Globe reporting on the massive cancellations in the region. Again, he never cancelled the cruise. TA sent the form he needed to fill out & he got the FCCs in maybe a month - six weeks.
  21. At that age, we would have son sleep with dad & daughter with me while on vacation.
  22. My brother did not cancel his cruise, he was a no show.
  23. Happened to my brother in March. All CP purchases, taxes, port fees & prepaid gratuities refunded to form of payment. Insurance purchased through RCCL at time of booking paid 90% of cruise fare as an FCC. Southwest refunded points used for booking plus an additional $250 in vouchers each.
