    I think the cabin looks very nice. The bathroom too.

    I thought there was more than enough wardrobe space. I agree the hangars are vexing.

    What with that and the black wood in the cabins. I think almost everywhere else looks gorgeous, particularly the library.

    If they had made the banquettes more curved, they could have put the tables diagonally, which would have been vastly better.

    His limited hearing is much improved by having a wall behind him. Isn’t that convenient? 😀

    The only piece I’ve seen that I don’t like is, lo and behold, the Queens Grill. I feel I’m going to spend a fortnight staring at a wall. I’m sure it is a nice wall, but still…

    On QM2 a sheltered balcony is an in-hull balcony. The view is not so good as one with a glass front, but it’s protection from the wind is excellent in mid Atlantic. I won’t attempt to comment on other things, as I am in the wrong country, but I would say, why not use a competent travel agent?

    You drove in Naples? Do you have some kind of gallantry medal?

    Just get them to put a jug in your cabin. Surely that is less hassle.

    We are on next week, and I am counting. And having just seen a picture of the library (I think), I am enchanted.

    And in the PGs, the extra half is added on sideways, so they are a nice square shape, unlike the Vistas.

    On QM2, Q4s are half as big again and have a dining room.

    I assume the experience has even more enhanced your hopeful anticipation of the maiden voyage.

    Despite the undoubted benefits of the congestion charge, it is worse now. But a wonderful place to walk, or travel on the top deck of the buses.

    Even though it is nothing to do with me, I am very relieved you are not attempting the arrival on the day. You will have an excellent time. If you are coming down on the Cross Country Service from Oxford, be aware that it is quite expensive and not particularly reliable. It is worth booking well in advance to get a cheaper ticket, if you can.

    All hoping to avoid the ultimate indignity of impaling her on the Brambles Bank on her first arrival, as QE2 did on her last. 🙂

    She may be delayed by meeting her flotilla. And do you see dear St. Helena anchored there?

    Looking at where she is now, she is definitely headed to the south of the IOW. So she’ll be too far away to see from Bournemouth.

    Vesselfinder does too, but I’m not sure I believe it. It tends to show the shortest route, I think. Anyway, if it does go that way, I shall have to dash down to the pier and give it a wave.
