  1. You can always order a salad. I often ask for a plate of steamed veggies - never a problem.
  2. True. Some kids absolutely love it while others just don’t. DGS went once when he was about seven and flatly refused to go back.
  3. No to the teen club but otherwise can go anywhere adults can go, just cannot consume alcohol (and believe it or not lots of adults do not consume alcohol either).
  4. You can also get powdered Gatorade to mix with your water so no need to haul bottles onto the ship.
  5. While I pay a lot more for a haircut, I’ve always had really oily hair that can tolerate any kind of product. I show Persian cats as a hobby. One night I was in a Red Roof bathing the cat for the show the next day. Show bath required five different shampoos that cost about $25 per bottle. After I finished I grabbed a shower and used the little packet of shampoo provided on my own hair. Figured there had to be something wrong with that. DH always brought his own but I’m fine with whatever is provided, including the mystery liquid in regular cabins.
  6. It has never been a Maine lobster tail in any event, just a Caribbean lobster tail - big difference.
  7. Maybe I’m wrong but I thought at least one original person must remain on the reservation (e.g., you can’t sell/give away an entire reservation).
  8. Also varies as to whether you will get bottles or cans.
  9. I think this is (was) for the freestyle machine.
  10. Exactly. What do they think the coffee is made from and soups and other food items. Trust me, it’s not bottled water.
  11. I drink a lot of water (don’t drink soft drinks) and have been drinking the ship’s water for many years before anyone thought of carrying around/purchasing bottled water. Usually fill my reusable bottle with glasses in the WJ.
  12. I would sign up for a Captains Club account now. We had cruised a few times on Celebrity in the past. Within a few days of turning Diamond received an email welcoming us as Elite from Celebrity. They apparently did the cross checking automatically.
  13. Not just any family member. Either child under 18 or significant other residing at same address.
  14. It’s been a while but HAL also gave it free outside the movie theater.
  15. Make sure that the bed in your cabin is not near the door - it would be impossible to get the scooter past it.
  16. You can also turn the sofa to face the wall so he would be protected on all sides. Perfect napping spot.
  17. So that’s deceptive advertising but not bait and switch.
  18. I don’t think there’s anything on Adventure but I have read that people find a lounge that isn’t used during the day to let the little ones run around and blow off steam.
  19. It’s actually per stateroom NOT per passenger. Otherwise. I totally agree. If you enjoy a couple with each meal and more during the day it is worth it for you.
  20. I remember a cruise some years ago (not sure which line) there was a waiter stationed outside the dining room after dinner giving out candied ginger. Not sure if it did anything for seasickness but it was yummy.
  21. You can definitely buy it but you can’t take it with you. They bring it to your cabin usually the night before you disembark. I always get the flavored rum for baking rum cake for the holidays. They have a fairly decent selection of liquor but can sell out of things.
  22. Exactly. It works great. I travel with fabric that packs neatly, dries quickly and never wrinkles. Have never felt the need to use laundry on a ship even those that have washers and dryers provided.
  23. My late husband used wheelchair assist on several occasions. As I recall, we were met outside the terminal. If we arrived after cabins were ready we were taken directly to the cabin. Otherwise, we were left wherever we asked (WJ, Cafe Promenade) and someone would have to go to the cabin once they were ready to retrieve any rented wheelchairs/scooters.
  24. Expense to get to ship is a big factor for many. I know back when loyalty points were figured differently Floridians living close to the ports could take 3 or 4 day cruises in inside cabins and climb the ranks quickly and relatively inexpensively.
