Airport Flyer bus is your best bet. Uber used to do shared rides?

If you are coming from Daytona I would look at two one-way car rentals - leave your car at home and skip the parking fees.

As Bruce mentioned, prices will vary with the tourist season - the $300+ room in Feb can go for under $100 in August. Besides the Brickell area hotels mentioned, we love the Doubletree (and next-door Marriott) with some rooms offering a view of the port - a great view to wake up to on your sailing date!

resortpass.com will link you with hotels/resorts offering day passes to their pool/spa/beach facilities - tip them to store your bags while you swim, relax and grab lunch.

I would look at other hotels and rates combined with booking your own transport. Lots of hotels in the PC area and several shared shuttle operators to choose from. Cocoa Beach Shuttle, Cruise Control and CORTRANS are suggested regularly on this board.

I would grab the first taxi in line and promise the driver a good tip for the short trip.

From past reports no downtown hotels offer port or airport shuttle service - expect to pay about $10-15 for a cab (you can see the port from the hotel).

If you are in port 1:00-9:00 you will be lucky to be at WDW by 3:00, and would need to leave by about 6:30 or so. Enjoy Kennedy Space Center, everglades or Coco Beach

Flat rate cab fare between MIA and POM was eliminated. Figure the meter fare will be about $30+. UberX or standard Lyft should be cheaper.

TRi-Rail is an option for about $5 each as long as you can handle your own bags. Call your hotel to find out which stop is closest to your lodging - you'll need a taxi/Uber/shuttle for the last couple of miles.

As mentioned above, just return the car and wait for the next shuttle. If this was a help you owe me a pint - do they still pour "heavy" at your local?

Welcome to the boards! 😎 Car seats of booster seats are required if the vehicle has seat belts. The easy solution is to bring your own seat - that way you know it is sized correctly and has been well maintained. The airline will check the seat for free if you choose not to use it on your flight. If your toddler is big enough there are inflatable booster seats that will not take up much room in your stateroom and can be used at the various port visits. Some of the limo companies (South FLA limo and Larry's Limo are often suggested on this bord) may provide seats - for a price. 😬

From South Beach you can take the Miami Airport Flyer bus to MIA for about $4 each. Uber and a taxi are also options from South Beach.

Shuttle to the port - yes. To the airport - NO

Cocoa Beach Shuttle is another option to explore.

Plan on about 90 minutes from PC to parking your cr at whichever park you choose.

Luggage Lounge in South Beach will hold your bags for a fee while you explore.

Arriving late into MIA and just want a bed for the night? Have never stayed there, but it is often suggested on this board as a budget option near MIA. Fairly isolated, so plan on pizza or Chinese delivery for dinner (or walk over to the Embassy Suites where dinner will cost approximately the same as your room rate at the La Quinta).

YVE is often mentioned on this board. I addition to those hotels suggested above I would also check out the Intercontinental, Doubletree Biscayne and the next door Marriott.

Looks like it's near MIA, but it's not the one in the Blue Lagoon neighborhood - must be out near Doral. Google maps is your friend - hard to find any place in Miami that is not near a Publix, Walgreen or CVS where you can stock up.

Your other option is to use two one-way rentals; drop the first one off downtown and shuttle to POM, the second one gets you home. Compare the cost of parking to the cost (and hassle) of two rentals. A few hotels out near the MIA airport offer parking deals. La Quinta East is the budget option most often suggested. Factor in the approx $30 cab ride to the port and another cab ride to get back to your car.

MIA to the ES near PE - I am betting that the cab fare will be closer to $75-80+ UberX or Lyft might be in the $50-60 range.
