  1. How many in your party? SAS (www.ridesas.com) and others charge $15+ per person each way. UberX or Lyft will charge about $45-50+ and a van taxi will run about $75+
  2. Taxi - about $80+tip UberX or Lyft - about $60+ You could save $$ by taking the TRIRAIL train from MIA to one of the stations near FLL and then a cab or Uber to the port.
  3. "Best" option is a stretch limo with a stocked bar. Taxi will run about $75-80. Uber or Lyft will run about $50-60.
  4. No more fixed/flat rates. Taxi from MIA to FLL area hotels close to Port Everglades will run about $75-80+tip? Uber should be closer to $50-60. For OP, the "best" way to get from MIA to Port Everglades is a stretch limo with a stocked bar! 😎
  5. You could stay in the FLL area and then head to Miami the morning of your cruise - www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area hotel and tourist info.
  6. Uber from a hotel to POM should cost about $10 -the exact fare will be quoted to you when you book the ride, and you will see options for various types of vehicles (UberX, UberXL, Uber Comfort, etc.) at different prices. Surge pricing indicates that there are a large number of requests for rides in an area with not enough drivers - passengers will need to agree to pay more and the higher fares should attract more drivers, eventually bringing prices back to normal. Surge pricing could push the fare up by a factor of 2, 3 or even 4 times the normal fare - the amount you will be charged will be displayed when you book your ride - if the fare is too high just take a taxi (meter fare from POM to MIA will be about $30+). I would also set up a Lyft account - I always pull up both to see which has the cheaper fare and shortest wait for a car. Have a great cruise!
  7. About 15+ minutes in the cab, depending upon traffic, then the walk through the shops and along the pier. I would plan on at least 30 minutes - maybe more. You do not want to be a pier runner!
  8. I don't travel to Miami on business anymore, but when I did, I always stayed at the Doubletree and never had a bad experience. Take those reviews with a big grain of salt on your margarita glass!
  9. Just got back from sailing Constellation out of terminal 6. Parking lot is about a 2-minute walk from the check-in area. Drop off the bags with a porter, park the car (we pre-paid - sign was up indicating that they were sold out), and walk back to the terminal to enter the check-in process. Wish the parking was covered, but it is close and convenient.
  10. Have not seen them mentioned on this board. Larry's Limos and South FLA are the two most often suggested. Can you bring your own car seats? The airline will check them for free if you choose not to use them on the flight. Then you can use any taxi-van or UberXL (with 6 plus bags you may need two cars).
  11. UberX or standard Lyft should be about $50-60 depending slightly upon where your hotel is located.
  12. Taco truck at PB was great when we were there in 2019
  13. Homewood Suites near MIA, in the Blue Lagoon neighborhood, should be able to accommodate 5 in a room.
  14. I understand! 😉 When travelling where I do not speak the language, I have shown the cab driver the name/address of the hotel from my reservation (or in the old days from a pack of matches) and it worked. Harder to do with Uber or Lyft. The hotel front desk can assist you with a taxi to your cruise ship. Have a great cruise! 😎
  15. Two very different beach clubs. When we cruise with my daughters, they prefer Sanchos (lively atmosphere, water toys, etc.); when it is just the wife and I we prefer Nachi (less crowded, relaxing, etc.). Depends upon what you are looking for in a beach club - it's your call.
  16. Welcome to the boards! 😎 Larry's is very good, but unless you have a big group travelling together or just want to ride in style they will be much more expensive than a taxi or an Uber or Lyft ride share car. Taxi from MIA airport to downtown hotels will run about $30 on the meter and Uber or Lyft should be a bit cheaper.
  17. Any hotel should store your bags (tip appropriately) if your room is not ready while you enjoy lunch, drinks, etc. Post cruise you can check resortpass.com for hotels/resorts offering day passes to their pool/spa/beach facilities. Tip them to store your bags while you swim, relax and grab lunch. There is also luggage lounge in South beach who will store your bags for a fee while you explore SB.
  18. The later in the day you fly into MCO, the more challenging it will be to find transport to the PC area (unless you are renting a car one-way). We prefer to stay in Orlando (1000's of hotels in all price ranges) and make our way to the port area in the morning. Your call.
  19. Resortpass dot com will connect you with hotels offering day passes to their pool, spa and beach facilities. Tip them to store your bags while you swim q relax and grab lunch.
  20. There are inflatable booster seats that might work for you - check Target, Amazon, etc.
  21. The taxi is exempt - you are not! Remember, the laws of physics apply everywhere. Bring your own seat ( the airline will check it for free if you choose not to use it on the flight)
  22. Nachi limits itself to no more than 130 guests per day. PB is mucho larger - you will often find 130+ around and in the pool, plus that many and more on the beach. Two very different beach clubs.
  23. You can walk up to the tours selling buggy tours without a reservation - most start near the market.
  24. You can see the water toys for Sanchos from Nachi - livelier atmosphere. Paradise Beach is another option - larger with a HUGE pool, nice beach, water toys and good facilities. All of these will be about the same cab fare from your port.
