  1. Welcome to the boards! 😎 Larry's is very good, but unless you have a big group travelling together or just want to ride in style they will be much more expensive than a taxi or an Uber or Lyft ride share car. Taxi from MIA airport to downtown hotels will run about $30 on the meter and Uber or Lyft should be a bit cheaper.
  2. Any hotel should store your bags (tip appropriately) if your room is not ready while you enjoy lunch, drinks, etc. Post cruise you can check resortpass.com for hotels/resorts offering day passes to their pool/spa/beach facilities. Tip them to store your bags while you swim, relax and grab lunch. There is also luggage lounge in South beach who will store your bags for a fee while you explore SB.
  3. The later in the day you fly into MCO, the more challenging it will be to find transport to the PC area (unless you are renting a car one-way). We prefer to stay in Orlando (1000's of hotels in all price ranges) and make our way to the port area in the morning. Your call.
  4. Resortpass dot com will connect you with hotels offering day passes to their pool, spa and beach facilities. Tip them to store your bags while you swim q relax and grab lunch.
  5. There are inflatable booster seats that might work for you - check Target, Amazon, etc.
  6. The taxi is exempt - you are not! Remember, the laws of physics apply everywhere. Bring your own seat ( the airline will check it for free if you choose not to use it on the flight)
  7. Nachi limits itself to no more than 130 guests per day. PB is mucho larger - you will often find 130+ around and in the pool, plus that many and more on the beach. Two very different beach clubs.
  8. You can walk up to the tours selling buggy tours without a reservation - most start near the market.
  9. You can see the water toys for Sanchos from Nachi - livelier atmosphere. Paradise Beach is another option - larger with a HUGE pool, nice beach, water toys and good facilities. All of these will be about the same cab fare from your port.
  10. Welcome to the boards! 😎 Lots of hotels downtown offer parking - but will charge you about $25-30/night plus your room rate. Hotels near MIA might be a better option if you just want dinner and a bed and do not care about Miami nightlife. Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon is often suggested near MIA and the downtown (Mary Brickell) Hampton Inn is another popular option. We like the Doubletree Biscayne, with a great pool area and some rooms offering a view of the port.
  11. I would also call your hotel to see what options they suggest.
  12. SAS shuttle (ridesas.com) for about $15 per person is probably your cheapest option if travelling solo. Uber or Lyft will fun about $50+ for the car and a taxi will run about $75+
  13. resortpass.com will connect you to hotels and resorts offering day passes to their spa/pool/beach facilities. Tip them to watch your bags while you swim, relax, and grab lunch.
  14. Why can't I get my wife to say that? 🙄
  15. Book now and then keep checking for better rates as things get closer to your date. You can always rebook at the lower rate.
  16. Instead of sitting at the airport check resortpass.com for hotels/resorts offering day passes to their spa/pool/beach facilities. Tip them to store your bags while you swim, relax and grab lunch.
  17. Better bet to get form FLL airport to MIA airport is the Tri-Rail train
  18. If seaweed is affecting Paradise Beach is will also be affecting all of the other beach clubs - they are lined up along the same side of the island. If you don't care about the inflatable toys and HUGE pool at Paradise Beach, then Nachi might be a better fit for you. Limited occupancy (under 130 guests per day), good food/drinks/service. Only Paradise and Sanchos will offer a PAYG option, and then only if they have space available. If you do not need a sandy beach look at the Money Bar - no admission fee, PAYG, good snorkeling from the shore (you enter the water via steps), and lots of lounge chairs and room for sunning/relaxing.
  19. With a later flight the rental back to Orlando after the cruise makes sense. Otherwise, you are sitting at the airport for hours before our flight.
  20. I would go with whoever has the best rate. We usually use Avis, but that is more for the corporate rate I get than anything else. You might consider dropping the bags and others at the port, then just the two drivers will need to ride the shuuttle.
  21. Resortpass.com will connect you to resorts and hotels offering day passes to their pool/beach/spa facilities. Tip them to store your bags while you swim, relax and grab lunch.
  22. Taxi POM to MIA will be about $30+ and Uber or Lyft will only save you a few dollars.
  23. Cruising from POM? MIA airport is about a 20 minute cab ride and unless you arrive late and just want a bed most suggest not staying near the airport. Lots of threads on downtown hotel suggestions. FLL airport is about a 40+ minute ride from POM. Several shared shuttle options will get you from FLL area hotels to POM (SAS is the most often suggested) for about $15 per person each way. SAS has a list of hotels they pick up at posted on their web site.
  24. Playa Mia has a kiddie water park, nice beach and is sometimes part of a ship sponsored excursion - so you can ride the bus instead of dealing with a taxi and car seats.
