  1. Cute puppy! For what you want it will be hard to beat Money Bar - about a $12 cab ride from the piers, no admission fee, good food, rental gear if needed, No beach - you enter the water via steps. Lots of loungers and seating available.
  2. I think this is the first review of QLS since Covid - good to know they are back in business!
  3. $15 per person is the standard rate from FLL to POM - the question was about transport from PE to POM, Fstuff1, you can contact SAS, Jiffy Jeff or any of the companies to see if they will pick up at PE and what the fare will be, or take a taxi/Uber/Lyft from PE to FLL and then catch the shuttle. Or just Uber/Lyft from PE to POM - fare should be about $55+
  4. No need to pre-order and there's some uncertainty about when your plane will land/bags available. Same thing getting off the ship/clearing customs/etc. Lots of Ubers and Lyfts waiting near both the port and airport.
  5. The ride from POM to FLL takes about 40-45+ minutes. As long as you are off the ship, with bags, and loading into a taxi/Uber/shuttle by about 9:00 you will be fine for a noon flight. You even have time for one last breakfast in the MDR!
  6. Avis has a location near the port on 2nd Street, but as mentioned above post cruise it is often overwhelmed with customers, leading to long waits for cars even with a guaranteed reservation.
  7. 1. Taxi there and back should be about $18+ each way, depending upon what pier you are at - check the taxi fare board posted near the cab line for your pier. If no cabs are waiting when you are ready to leave they will call one - we have never waited more than 5 minutes. 2. We typically tip about 20% of the admission cost - the waiters will split it up according to their system. Tip once at the end. 3. When you check in and get your wrist bands tell them where you want to sit - easy!
  8. 1. 4 plus bags sounds like UberXL or a minivan taxi. For private car service check out Larry's limos. Or you could take the Airport Flyer bus from MIA to South Beach for about $3 each - ask your hotel where the closest bus stop is to their location. 2. You could Uber or taxi from your hotel to PE - expect the UberXL fare to be about $75+ and the cab to cost more. Or take a shorter cab/Uber to Miami and ride the Brightline train to Fort Lauderdale - then another cab/Uber/shuttle to the port. Larry's Limos is still your best bet for private car service.
  9. Larry's Limos is the most often suggested option for Miami on this board, and we were very happy both times we used them. A taxi from the port to MIA will run about $33+ on the meter, plus tip. Uber or Lyft should save you a few dollars.
  10. Drive from FLL to Tampa is about 5 hours - if you are off the ship, in a rental and on the road by 9:00 that gets you to Tampa about 2:00. Time enough to drop off the car and get to the port? It can be done but you are cutting it close. I would find another second cruise, but it is your call.
  11. I would choose Paradise Beach - nice beach, water toys, HUGE pool, good facilities, and good food (love that taco truck!). Good luck!
  12. Any hotel in the Westshore area (near TPA) should offer airport shuttles -I've stayed at the Embassy Suites and was happy with the hotel and nearby dining options. More upscale is the Rocky Point area - pre-Covid we stayed at the Chase Suites with both airport and port shuttles. I would call to confirm if they still offer that service. Taxi from airport hotels to the port should be about $25+ on the meter and UberX or Lyft will save you a few dollars.
  13. The hotel in the lobby of the Doubletree is a good option for Carribean inspired cuisine. Pure Vida serves a good breakfast and Mikes is sort of a pub with good tacos, salads, burgers, etc. Lots of places for carry out if that's what you want.
  14. Love that hotel - some rooms offer a view of the port, the pool area is great, and it's a bit quieter than Mary Brickell or some other parts of downtown. Several good dining options within walking distance. A taxi from the hotel to the port should be under $15 on the meter.
  15. We have used Larry's twice and were happy both times. Larry's is the most often suggest private car service for MIA/POM/FLL on this board.
  16. SAS transport for shared van service www.ridesas.com Larry's Limos for private service. The cruise line bus is also an option where no car seats will be required. You can split into two groups and use UberX or standard Lyft I would bring your own car seats or boosters to ensure they will fit and have been properly maintained.
  17. Ride from POM to FLL should take about 45 or so minutes - no issues making a 12:30 flight. Unlike the above advice, I would stay on the ship, enjoy one last breakfast in the MDR, and then get off the ship about 9:00 - the FLL airport is crowded and depressing IMHO.
  18. Should be about $50+ from PE to POM for UberX - finding your driver will be the biggest challenge
  19. Taxi from FLL to the port will be about $15-20 on the meter. Same fare will get you back to FLL. www.visitlauderdale.com has lots of tourist and hotel information. If any of this helps you owe me a pint - whatever bitter your local pours will be fine! 😎
  20. Lots of Uber/Lyft cars available at FLL. You can do a mock booking to get a more exact price, but expect the fare for UberX to be about $50+
  21. It's been a while, but we were happy with Cocoa Beach shuttle.
  22. You could ride the Tri-Rail train from MIA to one of the stations near FLL (call your hotel to see which is the closest to their location), then shuttle/taxi/Uber the last mile or two. You'd need to be able to handle your own bags on and off the train - tickets are under $5 each person.
  23. Possible yes. This is a rare option - I would give them a call or email to discuss.
  24. Taxi will be about $75-80+ on the meter. Uber and Lyft should be a little cheaper, but surge pricing may make them more expensive -compare both before choosing. Larry's Limos is a good option if you want something reserved - how much depends upon how stretch you want the limo.
  25. You will be able to find a palapa/shaded seat, no problems. Enjoy!
