  1. "Excludes purchases onboard, Norwegian gift cards, shore excursions and transportation to and from the ship".. That stinks. my cruise is already paid for in full. Until reading the fine print, I thought I'd get it when I closed out my on board account

Does not exclude onboard credit purchase. I’ve done that. Buy an OBC prior to my cruise. I too was past final payment.

  2. I believe that you are correct. Down and up as I recall.:(

Yes. I did this last year. I was prepared to pay for a private driver as I made no plans prior to arrival. I was traveling solo and wanted to see how tired I was.

I took the train to Trastavere, and changed trains to Civitavecchia. Everyone was helpful and it was easy. The trains were pretty empty so I kept my bags with me at my seat.

Yes, the worst part were the stairs in Civitavecchia. By that time I was exhausted, but I made it.

I’d probably take the train again, but now I know how it works.

But be warned, you are lifting/carrying your luggage yourself.

  3. Yes, it appears to be much easier than I thought. We are thinking of having lunch in the area after our tour returns. Any recommendations???

I was going to recommend a wine bar around the corner from the coach station on Ebury St. But I just saw, they closed end of 2017.

I will see if I can think of something else in the area.

  4. Not sure if this qualifies as a travel agent, but check out, or Google, Autism of the Seas. Might find some helpful information on there.

Yes, contact them. Is it called Autism at Seas? My cousin said they were extremely helpful in getting her in contact with the right people.

  5. Yes, this is disappointing to us. We did just book a NCL cruise to try it out, but we are so used to Celebrity , which includes bottled water and specialty coffees, etc. that I'm a bit afraid I'll be disappointed. While some may prefer Tap water, I do not. I do not drink it at home, so why should I on vacation? Just a preference. I do see that NCL offers some sort of bottled water package so will check into that and maybe use our on board credit......I do think that NCL is just a money grab on this issue, but that's me.

I agree. I have sailed NCL but know that they only serve Pepsi products and their specialty coffee isn’t in any beverage package. I did drink the tap water (brought flavoring), didn’t drink Pepsi and only had one coffee a day. I do love the refreshment/replenish beverage packages on Celebrity and Royal.

I will sail NCL again, but I know what I need to do.

  6. The National Express Coach from Victoria is just as good and a lot cheaper. http://www.nationalexpress.com/cheap-coach-tickets.aspx

I did this. I found a great B&B near Victoria station. I could take the bus from the airport to Victoria coach station and then a few days later, national express to Southampton. It was a short cab tide from Southampton bus station to the ship. Well worth staying in London.
