  1. Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 sail from Southampton on January 11th. Both voyages are described on the website as Centenary World Voyages. What else are you expecting to see ?
  2. Sounds like it's going to be quite an experience, thanks for the update.
  3. I don't think I blocked anything off, the Freetrade statement only shows what they already know, name, address, number of shares.
  4. Quiet evening here too, there's a party in the village hall but we're not planning to go. We've got champagne in the fridge so we'll toast 2023 when it arrives. Have a great evening however you're spending it
  5. Britannia Club isn't usually open for lunch on embarkation day.
  6. To be fair it wasn't supposed to be the maiden Voyage when most people booked.

    Food

There's the Verandah, open for lunch on sea days and dinner https://www.cunard.com/en-gb/activity-types/dining/the-verandah And alternative dining in the Lido, details will be in the Daily Programme. Included is Lunch in the Golden Lion and platters/sandwiches in the Chart Room also at lunchtime.
  8. Just don't ask for one in England, you'll be disappointed.
  9. No, definitely not a crumpet. https://www.warburtons.co.uk/news/crumpet-recipe-revealed/
  10. As the OP is now home & this is turning into a general Covid discussion, I'm closing this thread.
  11. Same here, we've watched the new Death on the Nile and See How They Run this week so we might have a break from whodunit films tonight! For the moment, Mr HH is watching the new Fantastic Beasts film and I'm enjoying the new Kate Atkinson book I got for Christmas.
  12. Oh dear @Camgirl, I am glad you managed to salvage something, I hope your sister is feeling better. We had a lovely day, we managed to make our meal from starters through Beef Wellington, pudding to cheese and biscuits last pretty much all day. We had a mixture of bright sunshine and short, sharp showers. We watched the latest Knives out film.
  13. Passengers aren't "stuck in dry dock", they are having 2 days in Cadiz.
  14. I hope you're having a lovely day, especially if you are lucky enough to be celebrating on a Cunard ship.
  15. That was true last week for one week only but the latest figures show that Covid has overtaken flu again.
  16. The gap is October 22-November 15, 2023 there are no scheduled sailings.
  17. Happy Christmas everyone, we had a lovely meal out at lunchtime and crumpets with cheese for supper! It's still mild but we had a short electrical storm earlier.
  18. Unfortunately that's not correct for the UK now, rates for Covid are now higher than flu. Anyway please keep comments relevant to cruising.
  19. Unfortunately it's not realistic to keep Covid off ships. Even with pre-boarding testing people can be infected but not yet testing positive.
  20. I'm sorry to hear that you are still suffering, I hope you feel better soon.
  21. There is no FCC for Covid isolation. You can be isolated for various reasons including Norovirus, you will be able to claim from your travel insurance.
  22. Good detective work, I like the look of the room.
  23. I'm sorry to hear that you were neglected by the medical staff. I'm quite surprised as there were a lot more cases when my husband caught Covid in October but they checked up on him every day. We were separated but we both had contact from the Purser's office as well. Did you have the MDR menus to choose from? You should have had extra food and drink options. I hope your insurance claim is settled smoothly and you enjoy your future holidays. Thanks again for sharing your experience with us.
  24. Thank you for your review, it's good to hear that open dining worked well. It's relatively new and there had been some predictions of chaos and long waits for a table.
