  1. Thank you, little Theo had a ring security box as well but it didn't make it into the photograph. It's forecast to be a warm weekend and it's our village fete. Mr HH and his siblings have been emptying the last of the things out of their former family home. Contracts were exchanged this week and the sale should complete next week. I was due to attend my first in-person Union meeting in London next week but I've opted to attend online instead.
  2. Interesting, I guess someone who has tried to change them might report back.
  3. Very precise ! Hope you had a good trip.
  4. I'm not sure where you are seeing that, the website says - "During your time on board, you’re certain to receive our famous White Star service from all of our crew. Additionally, there are many more people behind the scenes supporting those who look after you directly. For your convenience, a Hotel and Dining charge will be automatically added to your on board account. This charge, which varies for Grills and Britannia guests, will be shared amongst those crew members who helped provide and support your holiday experience, including the restaurant and accommodation staff, stateroom and buffet stewards and others. You can amend these charges any way you wish by contacting the Purser’s Office once on board. For all bar and wine purchases, a 15% service charge is added to your account and this is shared amongst the beverage staff. A 12.5% salon service charge is passed directly to the crew member who has looked after you. This charge is also automatically added to your on board account. Naturally, you are free to tip any member of the crew over and above these amounts, at your discretion."
  5. They've been called that for a few years
  6. I don't know, we have 2 other posters who have been posting live and I haven't noticed any particular complaints about the service. What were the problems ?
  7. Thank you for all your contributions to this thread. It's now closed.
  8. Beautiful photo, have a good journey home and thanks again for taking us with you.
  9. Others have reported using the allowance to create a hot spot so 2 devices can use one allowance.
  10. It's been a while since I've been in Club but I don't think there's a different room service menu.
  11. Oh dear, thanks for the report and hopefully you will have a better experience for the return crossing.
  12. I have seen evening outdoor dining on Queen Victoria a few years ago but I don't know how busy it was or if it's currently available.
  13. I would have thought this was very likely, the website also mentions that the ships are carrying extra oxygen. I'm not sure Cunard is the only Carnival brand with this ban, Carnival Cruises isn't allowing them for the moment either. A lot can change between now and 2025.
  14. Thanks for taking the time to report back. It's been really good to read all the reports about Queen Victoria since her return to service.
  15. I don't want to worry you but the laundry rooms have been closed when Covid case counts are high.
  16. She's not a regular visitor, let us know if you get any more information once you are on board. We're scheduled to visit next June.
  17. Shame but an overnight in Civitavecchia seems like a good swap !
  18. Thanks for your reports, it's good to hear you're having a great time despite the weather. Sorry to hear about your bag dropping, did they break ?!
  19. Thanks for the update, hope you don't get too wet today!
  20. It's fine as long as it's not a Travel Agent
  21. I've corrected the date of it which might help, there's still time for people to join. You've mentioned that this is your first cruise, is it your first trip to Europe ? If you're a confident traveller then you can certainly get around independently but for example in Civitavecchia Cunard offers a variety of tours including just a transfer to Rome if you prefer some security.
  22. Only for Grills passengers though
