We booked a 2 br Fam villa-- though its NOT as 2 BR-y as some other ships that truly have a small second br...though looks nice and spacious. We paid in full last night about 6pm and in 12 hours are already disappointed that what we thought we'd be getting --and what we get are not nearly the same. We hate the MDR experience on other lines and our only NCL experiences were short sails so that MDR experience wasn't bad. It was just avg and we limited our expectations based on the ship and short sail.... The steak place on the Sun was a disaster-- loud and terrible food. On another sailing we ate in the one French specialty restaurant and had an excellent meal. So go figure. Had not even thought about "shows" as on MSC the YC has its own special seating with no reserv needed..and butlers watchover that section so only YC sit there. Same for Celebrity and suite class-- show seating is protected.

Wondering IF a ship has to miss this port, what port may be added.. in the case of an eastbound TA.

This is helpful Thank you. So would upgrading to the Premium Plus etc for bev package be a waste on the Pearl? No place to actually find the bev? We just booked a Haven suite for a TA We are used to YC on MSC and the truly private ship within a ship. Where do you eat dinner? And if in specialty dining-- who makes the table arrangements? Concierge? We dont expect to eat at a buffet at these prices

I am assuming it is not a MDR experience and same menu for this kind of $ We are used to sailing MSC YC which is ship within a ship, private bar/pool/restaurant etc. We expected this to be similar.

Good morning Know you are busy today getting to the pier. Would LOVE direct advice--as we just booked a TA on the Pearl for April We have not sailed from NY before and honestly dread it. We'd fly in the day before. Thoughts on best way to do this-- ? We are sailing Haven and have seen reviews that say embarkation for Haven is no better than general pop... which is disappointing as YC for MSC definitely is smoother. Does the ship change time daily? (losing/hour or gain an hour a day etc?) We really appreciate everyone who makes a sailing great...and so understand staff serves and are Not our servants. Well thats unfortunate too isn't it. We are looking at some long sailings and one minute see staterooms, the next monet with refresh we can't see anything. Crazy...and our TA wasn't helpful. MSC tech told me to email. The email seems like a deadened and the tel on the email bounce-back sees a dead end. Would be interested in hearing your comparison re YC and Haven

I would love to hear more We love YC and are looking at some long sailings. Inclined to choose YC -- however there is a Haven option. Could you share more please and TYVM. In particular the Epic

Good thoughts here. Wondering... can you share YC vs Haven... We are familiar with Celebrity and have sailed MSC only in YC and have only had great experiences. Trying to decide if we should try Haven--albeit--for a long sailing and am concerned it will eb a disappointment from YC. Opinions?

Tried every connotation to it...and settings add link, login by confirmation number etc. I was able to "successfully link a sailing--yet don't see it in our list of current upcoming sailings. Seems MSc shoreside tech and site is having issues.. which seems more normal for MSC unfortunately.

We can see one sailing and not another Called tech and was told it was our name fields... hmm i just dont know..because it seems that since I can't see all sailings in my account --its on their side. We too have fully paid bookings. Worried now that I called and they may have made the problem worse. 😬

So I called MSC.. and spoke to tech. And she says the TA put our middle names into the first name field..and MSC has to fix it-- and the "damage is done" by the TA... She tells me to email existing reservations etc. to have both reservations fixed--and expect it to "take a week". Emailed as instructed. The boilerplate message back from that box indicates the triage for that mailbox/office and gives a telephone number to call--- that gives me an error beeping. 🤪 none of this makes sense as the one cruise IS connected and linked. The other one is not and the "tech" support" couldn't fix the tech problem Thoughts?

Oh the infamous issues of MSC tech So one of our sailings is linked, the other isn't We've tried through the portal- the MSC side with confirmation number, name etc and we've tried login into our MSC and linking via acct settings link AND we have called TA to ask for help. She called MSC who told her "that some are experiencing this problem-- clear your cache etc" Cleared browser/cache and that not it. Ideas? We can't do preboard check in, luggage tags etc without being linked. The MSC agent told our TA they could link it on the ship--which is absurd.. I can't get into do the preboard stuff. Advice welcome re tech -- I hate to call MSC myself --as we used a TA.

I should think the same applies- healthwise. Fecal matter closes down pools and requires serious steps. Even with hot tubs etc-- and adults - they have to address the pee in the pool problem. 😱 I recall reading about the strong chlorine smell and reaction to urine

Interesting. When we sailed another line-- we had gotten several bottles of champagne etc from CD etc and left them marked with notes to staff along with cash tips. Wrote their name on bottle so they wouldn't be accused of misappropriation etc. There is only so much one can eat/drink on a cruise and despite our best efforts-- 😁-- there is always more As long as one is driving to the port- then I guess one can haul it home. Can't fly with a handle in carryon🙃

We never use much in our mini bar..and cannot imagine needing full bottles. Everything we could want is at the lounge and our butler will bring us bev to the cabin Same for snacks-- there is so much offered at meals that we never take advantage of all of the snacks in the lounge, tea, etc. And never eat the snacks in the mini bar. Love YC sailing.

You had a better experienced than we did for our first B2B in YC. We got put into the aft dining room (Merav) with all--and then no preference with the rest of the B2Bs--there were several hundred.. and we got stuck waiting in the terminal in a large group waiting. (early 2020) When in 2022 we did b2b2b2b things were much improved and we walked off, down the line past customs/border and back on. Those selfish stragglers really muck up the works for the ship/officers/pax and embarkation for all.
