  1. Out of APEX quarantine and heading home from Amsterdam tomorrow. I have my Certificate of Recovery and DH tested negative this afternoon using sn EMED online test. I did want to make one last comment about quarantine/RS food....and vegetables.ost dishes are not served with a side if veggies but all I had to do was ask snd I got Broccoli, Green Beans, Carrots, Squash and/or a variety of salad.
  2. I don't know if crew were allowed ashore or not but whatever the reason an honest answer is appreciated.
  3. Tonight is our last night in quarantine. For the most part it's gone well but there are several areas that could be better. 1. Room Service. Tonight was the worst and it took 2 hours from order to food arriving....and the order wasn't correct. At least the food wasn't lukewarm. Orders are often missing something but we've managed. 2. Communication. Neither of us were given a letter about what would happen in quarantine and I only found out about them in reading other quarantine posts. I asked about the letters more than once and we each had a letter dated May 12 with my Certificate of Recovery they was delivered tonight. I received no letter on what to do in vacating the quarantine room and moving to the new room. I eas told this would also be delivered tonight....but it wasn't...so I had to make another call to GS. I'm told to go to GS, after we have breakfast, to pick up a new key card. I also asked about getting back our Passports...which were taken in Dover for British Immigration. I was told to being the receipt (we didn't get one) and I would have to sign for them. In the letter dated May 12 that I never got it says that we would not have a Stateroom Attendant (understandable) and we would have Sanitation Supplies and Disenfecting Wipes to use to clean our cabin. That didn't happen. 3.Medical - they were able to provide extra prescription medicationone but one of DH medicines wasn't carried onboard. We were told on May 13, they would try to get it in a UK pharmacy. After more than one call to medical and empty promises we got a call this am (Saturday) in Belfast that the pharmacies are closed on the weekend. Really?? I don't think do. Lesson learned...pack 2 weeks extra meds when you travel. I know this is a new situation for both crew and those in quarantine but I think it could have been handled better. While we were checked on by both medical and Gurst Services, didn't starve and both are OK it could have been better. And....after being together 24/7 for 9 days in a 300 Sq ft cabin we're still speaking to one another. Tomorrow I look forward to freedom and a nice meal....even if it's in Oceanview Cafe. The next hurdle is for DH to test negative so we can fly home on May 26. Goodnight from the Irish Seam
  4. No one can predict what the protocols/requirements will be next month.....much less in October. If you're on Odyssey in Oct we are too. Will be closely watching covid protocols before we make final payment.
  5. Very true....and what about testing for those who just walk across our border?
  6. I self-tested on the next to last day of the cruise because I had symptoms of a head cold and needed to test negative to fly home to the US 2 days later. The self-test gave a positive result so I called medical and was tested again... With another positive result. Fortunately I have only had the symptoms of a head cold and nothing serious.
  7. And you think that's because she wasn't booked in a Suite?
  8. With an oxygen level in the 80s a person would feel some shortness of breath. How did your wife feel? I really doubt that a lower oxygen level had anything to do with being in an OV cabin and more to do with Covid. For me, I'd be noting how I felt and call medical if I didn’t feel right. I wouldn't wait for anyone to call me. Like hcat we travel with a Thermometer and Pulse Ox meter.
  9. Do you really think that? We weren't booked on this cruise so no cabin category other than our quarantine IV. All Room Service food is coming from the RS kitchen somewhere below us.
  10. 🦞 I wish...last night's Sea Bass looked bad and tasted worse. It's the 1st meal I didn't eat and I've had some very good fish onboard....mostly in Luminae. Tonight's Happy Hour....wine is "always available" and a decent vintage.
  11. You're too 😁. I wish there were more options but we have the expensive Room Service menu and can order dinner from the MDR. While we're not going hungry I can say that I'm really looking forward to a real dining experience on Sunday.....even if it's in the Oceaview Cafe.
  12. Thanks for the offer to share them @PinkSandGirl....RS sent a printed copy today
  13. If they are on APEX we're not aware...and I tested POSITIVE. We chatted and dined with some...who were not tested.
  14. Thanks...the problem is I'm not "officially" on this sailing as I was never booked on it. I went into quarantine the last day of the April 30 TA cruise.
  15. No menus on the TV. All is done via the APP.
  16. I am also currently in Quarantine on APEX. Internet is given in 3 day increments. We've had to call GS to "renew" once and I expect that will happen again soon. What I do miss is the APP and am told since we're not on a regular booking # it's not available. If we had it we would know what's on the reg MDR me when we order dinner and not have to ask the helpful person who answers the RS phone.
  17. Hello neighbor. I'm also currently on deck 6 in quarantine and tested positive again on day 5. My DH chose to quarantine with me and has tested negative. I get out on Sunday and we plan to he very careful as DH will have to test Neg to fly home.
  18. We're doing well...thanks for asking. A bit bummed that we're overnight in Liverpool....a new port....and we can't get off. Also in river side so not able to see as much. Oh well....it could be a lot worse
  19. The current country protocols are not specific to cruise passengers and apply to anyone testing Covid positive. The country protocols... and even how a positive result for a cruise passenger will be handled...is not static and are continually evolving. Anyone traveling now needs to make a plan and have thought about and talked about all the "what if" scenarios that could affect their vacation.

  21. I am in quarantine on APEX. This is my Day 7 of 10. Food options from RS are the MDR menu and/or Room Service...so plenty of choices. My DH and I have exercised every day. DH has walked in the cabin every day at least once per hour and, according to his FITBIT, he's logging about 6 miles each day. I put on some workout style music and dance. We have Wi-Fi and since banavan is posting she must too. Quarantine isn't what any of us want to do but we're trying to make the best of it.
  22. I hope you test negative tomorrow also. If you do, will you need another negative the next day? We did on APEX along with completing a 10 day quarantine. I still tested positive on day 5 so I'm on day 7 of my quarantine. I'm told I'll be released from quarantine on May 22 at 8a.m.
  23. I am able to stay onboard until the end of the cruise but will be changing cabins to one not in the quarantine area. At that point I am free to come and go. For me that's May 22.
  24. I am the OP of this thread. Your post references bananavan and her experiences in Italy....which I agree have been less than stellar. Her experiences can be followed on the thread she started about Testing Positive on EDGE TA. I am the OP of this thread.
