  1. They aren't on the App. This is all I see for EDEN. I can see the Steakhouse but not EDEN or La Petit Chef
  2. We're booked on EDGE in February and when I open the app and go to dining I do not have an option to see a menu....only to reserve. It's the same for La Petit Chef but there is a menu shown for Fine Cut Steakhouse.
  3. We tried EDEN on EDGE pre-covid and will now be on EDGE again in February and would like to try the "new" menus. Hoping someone can share a link or photo of the menu.
  4. We're just off Odyssey b2b and found the pizza at Giovanni's Wine Bar OK. The meatballs were really good as were most things on the restaurant menu. Spaghetti Carbonara was outstanding and the filet was much better than the one at CHOPS. We also ordered a whole pizza TO GO from Sorrento's. It was fresh out of the oven and much better than the pizza at Giovanni's.
  5. Pinnacle Club members usually have Gold Seapass Cards.....regardless of type of stateroom.
  6. True....if you want acknowledgement at your dinner table they will usually provide a small dessert and sing Happy Birthday. OP was asking about buying a birthday treat to be sent to her daughter's cabin.
  7. Implying and assuming don't come into play now. As others have said protocols are fluid and changing.
  8. There are no current protocols for a TA leaving from the US as there are no TA cruises from the US until spring '23.
  9. At this point no one knows what the protocols will be next month....much less in spring 2023.
  10. We were recently on the Odyssey TA. Prior to the cruise we received several emails about protocols. Below is one of them. I would think that the OP would have received the same for her cruise. ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING TRAVELS Dear Guest, We’re excited to welcome you onboard for our Odyssey of the Seas Transatlantic sailing. Before you head to the cruise terminal, we wanted to clarify our requirements for our sailing. Since we’re sailing on a Transatlantic itinerary, all guests 5 and older must be fully vaccinated, with the last dose of their primary vaccine regimen received no less than 14 days prior to sailing. Guests between the ages of 1-4 can sail, regardless of their vaccination status. Additionally, all guests ages 5 and older must provide a negative test result in order to sail. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to seeing you onboard soon! Sincerely, Royal Caribbean International
  11. Hoping to see updated protocols for RCI sailings soon as we're on Odyssey Oct 19 from Civitavecchia to the Holy Land/Greek Isles.
  12. We'll also be on Odyssey next month but have a question for a younger family who are booking Odyssey Greek Isles next summer. Would like to hear opinions about MTD on Odyssey. Time? and whether you think it would work for a group of 7. TIA....and thanks for sharing your hints/tips
  13. We wait until the cabins are ready.....unless we're on Celebrity.....who allow you to drop off your bags in the cabin prior to them being ready. We don't go all over the ship until AFTER cabins are available and we're unpacked.
  14. Your TA has nothing to do with a Royal Up bid. You place the bid and receive the communications. Each time we've bid it has been cabin specific and I've never seen a Suite guarantee bid (but that doesn't mean others haven't).
  15. We've taken our 25" bags on all recent cruises both in US and abroad. Love the idea of being able to unpack as soon as we get to the cabin. Been there/done that waiting for suitcases and/or having to find them in the big group at the end of the hall.
  16. I understand your concerns. Do you have a screenshot of your Royal Up bid or the email you got confirming the bid? If so, that may help so you can show the type of cabin you bid on. Good luck
  17. Coffee machine was broken when we boarded on Aug 29.
  18. Just off Navigator. Master is Captain Johan Hill from Sweden.
  19. I am sailing on Oct 19 out of Civitavecchia. Per Healthy Sail Guidelines above: Antigen Test - would need to be done no earlier than Oct 17 PCR Test - would need to be done no earlier than Oct 16 We fly on Oct 16 and arrive in FCO airport on Oct 17. We could do a PCR test on Oct 16 but most likely would not have the results before our flight unless we paid for a Rapid Results test. We plan to do a self-test before we fly and hope for a negative result......then use EMed proctored tests from our hotel in Civitavecchia. This is based on the guidelines in place NOW but could change again at any time.
  20. Updated Protocols: Italy Departures visiting Greece Below find our updated protocols for sailings departing from Italy and visiting Greece. Should there be any changes, we are committed to keeping you informed All Guests, All Aboard Beginning September 5th, 2022 we are welcoming all guests, regardless of vaccination status, on all European itineraries. Vaccination Recommended When eligible, we recommend that guests joining us be fully vaccinated against COVID‐19 and up-to-date. While vaccination is not required, we kindly ask you disclose your status during check-in to ensure we maintain a highly vaccinated onboard population. Up-to-date: For the purpose of our sailing, to be considered up-to-date, guests must have received all doses in their vaccine series and have received their booster if the second vaccine was administered over 270 days (9 months) ago. Testing Pre-cruise All guests ages 12 and up, regardless of vaccination status, must present a negative COVID-19 test result from either: An antigen test taken no more than 48 hours prior to sailing A PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to sailing. Accepted Tests For sailings departing from Italy and visiting Greece, unsupervised self-tests are not accepted. Guests can take advantage of telehealth antigen tests to satisfy their pre-cruise requirement. Proof of a negative test can be the printed or digital results. To learn more about our accepted tests, visit our FAQ. Onboard Sailings visiting Greece will require any guests ages 12 and older, who are unvaccinated or not up-to-date, to test at their own expense prior to debarking in port. Visit our dedicated Getting Ready to Cruise page to learn more. Check out our Healthy Sail Center for our full sailing protocols
  21. in 2013 we met a South American family on Oasis. The daughter was around 10 and already Pinnacle.
  22. When I did a search on the RCI website for "blog" it takes me to the "official" Royal Caribbean blog, not the fan one. Royal Caribbean Blog
