Just to get back to the original reason for this thread. Things that were missing or had changed since our more recent voyage on this ship last year. There was no Prosecco and cold hand towel offered upon embarking, and this after a wait of almost 1.5 hours. The waiters carrying plates from the buffet in La Terrazza at breakfast and lunch has gone, I believe it was staffing related as it’s a new change and unlikely to be COVID related. The hot foie gras has been removed from the menu in La Dame, I couldn’t get an answer as to why and it’s still available in Atlantide. White Chocolate grappa is no longer available, and this is a choice not a supply issue. The crew to guest ratio on the longer segment was about .8 but for the fuller first segment it was .7. This is well down on pre pandemic.
There were lots of pluses on what turned out to be a very enjoyable voyage, however prices have gone up, understandably so, but at the same time some of the things that helped to make it special are being chipped away.
