  1. Have you asked on the Ports of Call board for Caribbean/Jamaica.
  2. We are not allowed to name travel agencies on CC. Reread the guidelines. And we assume you mean 2025?
  3. I did a 3/4 on Seaside from Port Canaveral and there was not a gala night. The last night is usually the white party with the Italian menu. Day 1 (boarding) casual Day 2 Nassau casual Day 3 Ocean Cay Tropical Day 4 at sea. White EM
  4. In your comment, at the bottom you will see choose files. Click on that and you can post from your photo library. I’m not sure how you do it otherwise unless from a hosting site, like Shutterfly. But I usually do that with my surface pro, rather than the iPad I’m on now.
  5. The OP is doing this in Amsterdam/Europe. It is treated just like any other port call day. They might even give her a card that is good for both legs. She can leave as soon as the ship is cleared and return any time. EM
  6. The sleeper sofa is always by the balcony, so if there is a square on the deck plan, the bed will be by the bath and the couch by the balcony. EM
  7. About the only perk worth anything left for Aurea is priority boarding and anytime dining. Since you are traveling with a large group, you would all have to bid and win Aurea in order to eat together. I wouldn’t risk it. EM
  8. Have you asked on the Ports of Call board for Norway? EM
  9. My concern is the physical setup. On the many lines I have cruised I can think of few lounges that have seating with a table the right height for a sewing machine. Much less close to an appropriate outlet. Most lounges the tables are too low. EM
  10. I have been assigned times at the time of booking. At that time it was 1100. Then it changed to 1600. I usually arrived around 1230-1300. EM
  11. Shirt and shoes required, preferably long pants in the MDR. All of the theme nights are optional. More people observe the white night than the others. Tropical applies to just about everything you have been wearing on the cruise, it bring you Tommy Bahama shirt, grass skirt or muumuu if you like. Maybe a tie dye shirt for 70s. Don’t overpack. EM
  12. That depends on the agreement among the three guests. Presumably the two paying the full fare are sharing the regular beds, and the third is sleeping on an upper bunk or sofa bed. That might figure into the decision. There might be other considerations. For instance, booking a spa cabin the spa privileges might be limited to only two in the cabin. EM
  13. You can ask the porters for luggage tags if you are checking bags. No one is asking for the health thingy anymore. EM
  14. I think it was tucked in to the section where it wanted to know about travel after the cruise. EM
  15. It’s been years since my B2B2B but at that time when you did your online checkin there was a place to check consecutive cruise. EM
  16. If you are a fan of trains, do the sugar train. Half of the excursion is a bus ride with a couple of stops around the island. The other half is the train. They are small buses, one for each car of the train. The train has seating downstairs with restroom and a/c, upstairs is open air and has the best views. There is room for everyone in both areas. EM
  17. Yes, they arrive at midnight. Disembark at the usual early morning times
  18. I was suggesting the smaller ships because there can be a lot of walking involved. I am 79 and don’t have any mobility issues yet, but my las cruises were on large ships, and my cabin far forward. A long walk to the dining room. Unfortunately for those of us who like smaller ships, economies of scale means they build them bigger and bigger. But the ones of the size I like are still around 100,000 tons. You might look at Holland America as. NOne of their ships are behemoths, the M class ships of Celebrity. Grand class ships of Princess. EM
  19. You will not get any privacy with five people in a suite, and chances are two people would be sharing a foldout couch. Two cabins will give you two bathrooms. Does your mom use any mobility assist devices, such as a walker? Is she steady in a small shower? Cabins on cruise ships are smaller than hotel rooms, as are the bathrooms. Given what you are looking for, I would suggest the older, smaller ships of the mass market lines, or step up to the premium lines which mostly have smaller ships…but cost more money. You haven’t mentioned a budget, and airfare to Europe must figure in, as well as a hotel for the night before the cruise. If you want to see Greece and Croatia, you should consider an eastern Mediterranean cruise, leaving from Greece or Italy. Try looking at cruisetimetables.com and select departure ports in those areas. Choose the time you want to sail, and it will tell you what ships are sailing and their itineraries. Happy researching…. EM
  20. Today brought Wind Star and Regent Seven Seas Grandeur
  21. Tuira II and Pacific Queen back at Miraflores
  22. But Charleston has a long history of flooding, even just high tides. EM
  23. There are shuttles from the entry to the beaches. Not enough, nor often enough, but they do exist. EM
