No my Husband got sober 2 yrs ago and I've never been big on alcohol. He'll get the Refreshment package as he drinks a ton of water. I drink more soda so was thinking I'll get the cheapest soda package then use our combined vouchers just to get my fresh orange juice and waters. His Refreshment package covers water , juice and " mocktails" so he'll have no need for the vouchers. It's almost $200 cheaper than getting 2 Refreshment packages. Plus we won't be wasting the " free" vouchers lol.

This will be our 1st cruise as Diamond. However my husband quit drinking and I've never been a drinker. We were planning to get Refreshment packages until I remembered we each get 4 drink vouchers a day. So I'm thinking of him getting the Refreshment and I could get the soda package ( I live off of Coke zero) and I could use our vouchers for fresh OJ in the morning, waters during the day and if I want a mocktail or milk shake. Does that sound like it would work. It saves me almost $200 .

My issue is I make awesome fried chicken. We have GOOD steak a few times a week. I don't want spaghetti on a cruise. I can't eat fish. I want something good that isn't something I myself make at home. The old menu from like 18 years ago was amazing. I ate and enjoyed. Last cruise wasn't horrible but there were nights I really wasn't happy with choices. Haven't cruised in 3 years but I do have one booked for August 2024. Looking at the new menus some nights I don't see anything that excites me. That use to be part of the fun.

As others have said there are plenty of free drink for that age. Bring a big travel cup put a few lemonade or which ever drink they have out in the Windjammer in it. Then you have your container if juice to pour into sippy cups for a bit. Go refill it as needed. No charge for those drinks.

Towels? On one cruise a family put one flip lop on each chair and then a children's little book on several more. This was early morning. They never showed up until late afternoon and had the entire first row by the pool. After several hours we took 2 chairs just moved a couple flip flops over. When they finally showed up they started cursing us out. Saying they were their chairs even though we'd been sitting there about 2 hours by then.

Last cruise I wore a retro style navy blue and white dress that was nautical themed. The one before that was white pants and a nautical loose fitting tank top. We always do photos because we're vain 😆

On one cruise my husband was doing pretty good so when I walked over he gave me a few large chips to " kindly go away "🤣

That stinks, I saved all of my cruise compasses from every cruise so far (9 to date) I have each " cruise" in a separate folder and all the folders are in a zip bag ( the kind a blanket comes in😉). Every now and then I go through and relive the memories 🙃.

We just hit diamond on our last cruise,3 yrs ago, and this coming one 8/24 we won't use the perks that everyone strives for like the drink vouchers. My DH is sober ( thank God) 2.5 yrs now. We'll just get the Refreshment package.

We were supposed to cruise when Hurricane Harvey hit in Texas. We got stuck at a hotel for 5 days. Cruise port, airports EVERYTHING closed down. But I think that was definitely a worse case senerio. We wound up finally finding a van and drove over 30 hours home. We flew into Texas just as the hurricane was starting. It's a story for the books. But at the time it was scary and extremely disappointing.

Dressing elegant is my favorite part of the cruise. Many may dislike it but we will not be stopping. I get mine at department stores after prom season. I've gotten some really nice ones for decent prices. Not poofy ball gowns but really pretty gowns. My last one I actually bought second hand from a resale app. I dieted for months to get it to look really good haha but my husband fell in love all over again so it was a win!! It was red lace and had some shimmer. It was very low cut ( but had mesh inset) and a very slight train. Stunning and so not me but that was the best part. I even found a really pretty ones at Marshalls.

So I know we're quite a bit out lol but 8/11/24 we'll be on the Freedom . Just curious since we don't usually do all the extras, but I hear people talk about the unlimited dining package? What does something like that run on average. 7 night caribbean. Thinking of maybe surprising the hubby.

There use to be an appetizer that was scallops in a sauce. It came on one of the little metal dishes with a spot for each little scallop. Does anyone know if they still have that available? It was one of my favorite things to look forward to.

I called and did it for my Brother & sister in law's first cruise. I had their ship name & date of sailing.

My natural nails are so thin they bend backwards if I let them grow. So I recently started getting acrylic. I change the color depending on my mood. Right now 3 fingers are buttercup yellow and my middle and ring fingers are black with sunflowers on the edges. It makes me feel nice to have nails since I've never been able to let mine grow. Although they aren't crazy long just slightly past the tips of my fingers and a bit longer by the 2nd week.
