We did one msc cruise and wouldn't do it again if it was free. It was that bad!

I'm guessing it was just an observation. Especially if they were scantily dressed makes it a bit more obvious.

Either way is a bit scary. Huge bill or a teen waiting alone at a port. Neither sounds good.

Just make sure you're back in time. Seriously there have been people that left their kids on the ship and went for an excursion or just did theri own thing and didn't get back on time. Ship left without them and kids are on board. Not sure what exactly they do about it but I've heard of it happening more than once.

Look at black Friday sales next month.

We've always seen this on all our cruises. I personally think it's a pigish thing to do.

I would defuse a travel agent and I'm not a fan of them lol. They may be able to get you group discount plus extras. Also much easier for them to link everything that needs to be linked. Just my humble opinion

It's already booked for August. As long as I can use my BC I'm good. Thank you for your help! Cruise #11 here I come... in 10 more LONG months haha.

I'm so glad you showed the onion tart. I've always wanted to try it and now I won't haha. Love onions but I can't digest eggs. Funny, when I think of a tart I'd never picture a quiche. Oh well. I think my only big disappointment will be they did away with the scallop appetizer. It was something I always looked forward to.

Ugg yes I meant BC not DL. But thanks. I still have a fee years left on my passport because I had just renewed it before things played out like they did. So I don't want to change it if I don't have to.

Without getting into the ugly details, my passport has my married name. We divorced 3 yrs ago so my DL has my Maiden name ( had it changed after divorce). Haven't cruised again so didn't update passport. Fast forward we're happily back together and eventually plan to remarry so I'm not paying to change passport now and then have to do it again later. We're cruising on Freedom in August( almost identical cruise to the one we got married on in August 06' ). Is it OK to just use my DL for this one? It's closed loop. I've just always used my passport but as I told him, haha it's cheaper to do a county wedding than change my passport twice🤣

I find it funny that if it doesn't affect YOU , you tend to jump on the OP like they're crazy. But other threads people rant about no cream and 100's were agreeing. While these all may be tiny things they add up and affect ( maybe not ruin but definitely affect) a person's cruise experience. Yes if an ingredient in your favorite drink, your favorite soda, what you put in your morning coffee ect ...is missing it does make it less enjoyable. Personally I practically live off of Coke Zero and it would make me very unhappy to miss it for a week or two. The main issue I see with these things is that as a major cruise line they SHOULD have these things all ready to go. It's not like they don't know when the next cruise is.

Yup pur last cruise there was a group that hugged a hot tub all day ( not that it bothered me as I refuse to get in those) but they had young children I. It too. One was a baby in a diaper. They took it out changed the diaper and put the kid back in. And I'm talking baby not even old enough to walk yet. They were loud, drunk and obnoxious for hours. We were in loungers across from the hot tub. We were happy when they finally left.

Sadly a LOT of people go on vacation with the "I'm on vacation someone else can handle my kids" mentality. We've seen it more than we care to. We've actually heard people say " I don't care, I'm on vacation " when someone said something about the misbehaving child. Also that " I paid for it" , Yes well so has everyone else on the ship and they aren't your babysitters. And yes that thought that they need to get their monies worth from the drink package. Nothing will change until rules are enforced . I love royal caribbean but I hate how they've become so " family oriented " that it's just a giant day care , for both children and drunks.

I pack with the notion I'd rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it. I don't want to spend money on things I already have. I also don't wear the same thing twice in a week for work and I won't do it on vacation ( with the exception of swim suit). I could personally never do the capsule type packing (sticking to mix & match pieces in a 2 color pallet) nope not me. I take a large suitcase with some DH things mixed in, plus a medium suit case. Then I carry on small under the seat tote so I have something to wear to dinner first night. Never regretted it yet. I take shorts & tops for each day, dresses for each night and 2 formal gowns. 2-3 pr of heels & a couple pair flip flops. I usually wear it all😁

Wow I hope the medical emergency isn't connected to the man overboard. Like so.eone having a heart issue due to the stress. So heartbreaking when these things happen. Especially given you can't just trip and fall overboard. Have to climb. Which makes it even more heartbreaking.

Here in South Jersey we have some of the BEST corn & tomatoes. Sad summer is ending. I too work for a school and go back tomorrow 😭 but in August I'll be cruising so I'll have that to pull me through the year lol.

Some of us due to work schedules really don't have much choice. I would LOVE to cruise in a month that is cheaper but I work for a school. Maybe after I retire. For now it's summer cruises and a lot of prayers!

It is a story. But at the time we had 4 people in 1 room, no place open to get food, no restaurant at the hotel. We got lucky in that the manager of the restaurant across the parking lot got flooded out of his house and was staying at the hotel. He went over everyday and made food so every one hot meal a day. We had insurance so got back cruise and ruise extras. However we were out the money for 5 day hotel stay, van rental & gas to get home.

I work for a school so summer is only time we can really cruise. We usually do early August.
