  1. Is that on the Sapphire by chance? I have been trying to get mine booked, but no price reduction seen, so I cancel out.
  2. IMO you actually SHOULD CARE. I also am double vaxxed and boosted. I cruised on Discovery July 31st sailing. I wore my mask some of the time, not always, I did attempt to avoid crowded placed and properly social distance. My issue was mainly the elevators. People ignored the signs. I may have stepped into an empty or near empty elevator, people pushed/crowded in even when seemingly full. So by the time I got to my floor it was like sardines. On Thursday/Day 4 after I disembarked I tested POSITIVE for Covid. I had mild symptoms, likely because I am double vaxxed and boosted. I did my isolation and tested negative on day 14 on home test kit. On my way today to have a PCR test. It can happen to you, just sayin'
  3. Will there be any perks left when Princess' new president finishes having fun taking them away one by one. This is a sure way to keep loyal customers happy. Yeah! I see this whole loyalty thing crumbling to an end sooner than later. Any bets?
  4. On Discovery July 31st Alaska. NO elite bathroom amenities at all, NO Princess blue bag. Minibar was there but traded in for wine and did not pay attention to what items were there. Robe was in room on the first evening.
  5. I am booked on a Sapphire 15 day Hawaii sailing from LA in November. It has been unavailable for booking now for weeks. I can not get any information from Princess. I have a few thoughts, It could be so popular that it has sold out completely. It could be they are attempting to limit capacity. It could be they are planning to cancel Sapphire sailings like they recently did with the Diamond, which I suspect will be the case. I can't imagine Princess could easily overcome their issues causing the Diamond cancellations. I just wish Princess would make their decision already!
  6. I was on Discovery Princess July 31st Alaska sailing. No evidence at all of limiting capacity. Full ship and back to the usual long lines and full elevator issues. Yes, they did seem short staffed at times, but crew was still great. It may vary by the popularity of location
  7. I would like to see the return of the real Princess Love Boat dream dessert.
  8. No, it is only available pre-cruise at full price. So I just said cancel the purchase. My cruise is in November, so I have time and will keep my own money for now.
  9. I just cancelled my mistake of purchasing MedallionNet in the App. I used chat. They know about it but no information regarding if or when they may fix it. This is just another way Princess has found to get our dollars for their use. My dollars are better off with me for now. I will check on it closer to sailing
  10. I was just now pleasantly surprised when I called the Princess phone line to get MedallionClass App help and was asked by the recorded voice if I would prefer a call back when it is my turn. FINALLY! Thank you Princess. I have not seen any mention if this and appologize if this was already known.
  11. I just made the mistake of booking it in the App. I heard that booking it on board they will not allow the $10.00 per day rate only the $15.00 per day rate. I did not realize it was ever right in the App since I was not looking for it until now I do not want the $15.00 per day rate even at 50% off. Way overpriced for what little you get. The current version/outsource of MedallionNet is a bad joke IMO. The earlier MedallionNet was OK, but not this current version/outsource. Wi-Fi on Princess before MedallionNet was better than it is now. Sorry, not a fan, but I still need it.
  12. I did lunch in the MDR, Skagway I believe on my embarkation day in Alaska on July 31st. Had salmon, good as usual.
  13. Are the car rental shuttles to the car lot still operating at Nawiliwili harbor port, Kauai? Unable to reach anyone by phone at the rental agency
  14. I had a recent positive experience on Discovery Princess booking the Crown Grill. I had Princess Plus with an added specialty dining cover promotion included. The App recognized it and allowed me to make my night of choice reservation and DID NOT require my credit card. I checked on reservation once on board, all was fine. BTW, I was told the Crown Grill was completely booked and when I was there it was half empty. I sensed they are limiting number of patrons due to staffing issues, maybe ???. Unless your specialty dining cover was a Princess promotion I think it requires a credit card by default from what I have been reading. If you have gifts or TA perks expect to have to use a credit card if pre-booking or wait until on board and book early.
  15. @travellingnana FYI, Medallion Net is the internet service that is provided when on board the ship if you pay for or have wi-fi included. Medallionclass is the name of the App we all love so much, LOL. As mentioned above to get to an ocean navigator person to help with the MedallionClass App you go through the main Princess number and there is an option. Beware, it seems that Princess hired an off shore company to take these calls. I have a very hard time with them because of the loud background noise and very poor phone connection. I am not sure what happened to the original ocean navigator people that I believe were here in the US. I hope they didn't lose their jobs.
  16. That was my initial thought too. but on chat they said there is no word on Sapphire cancellations. Also, the other Sapphire sailings before and after the date I was looking at are available for booking. Time will tell.
  17. I was having the same issue. I got on chat with Princess and I was told that sailing is sold out. I discovered how I access the sailing makes a difference. If I go to it from my saved cruises I see "Currently Unavailable", If I go sort of back door by accessing a different date for the same itinerary/same ship and use the drop down where you can pick a date and change to the date I am looking at, it comes up all cabin categories are SOLD OUT. As someone said above, this can change and cabins may again become available.
  18. I'll go with this. That is the Princess way. LOL
  19. This service is courtesy of the Port Of Seattle, not Princess provided and is called Port Valet I used it, but I had signed up in advance based on postings here. Good thing I did or I would never have known about it on the ship. Nothing on the ship but the regular disembarkation paper. Maybe it was on the wake show, but I actually never turned it on this cruise. Port Valet could not have been better. I was also on the same cruise and enjoyed it. I was lucky and had a great day from Skagway going into the Yukon, including Emerald Lake. Sorry you missed it.
  20. Do you know if this is something Princess will verify for everyone or does it happen once in Canada by Canadian authorities? YES, everyone must complete Arrive Can if getting off the or NOT. A little clarification on this ... Waiting on the 96hr pre-cruise time to complete the app. I was on phone with ArriveCan yesterday, ArrivaCAN can not be completes prior to 72 hours before embarkation time. I also found this via Google. When can you fill out ArriveCan when embarking on a cruise from Seattle Within 72 hours You can only start your ArriveCAN form within 72 hours of your upcoming cruise embarks, so be sure you add this to your pre-cruise planning list. You will not have access to the form if your cruise is outside of 72 hours.
  21. This is the Princess standard for cruises departing/debarking New York. This is nothing new, has been this way for years. The best thing to do is what has been suggested above and get clarification from the various port websites. Kind of a rule of thumb... embarking/debarking cruises would most likely be Brooklyn/Red Hook, day visit possibly Manhattan.
  22. I did send another request from another email address and .... I got an immediate automated response. Maybe it is something very very new?
  23. I submitted my request by email last Friday evening. There was no automated response and it has not yet been posted. Maybe an automated response it is just a random thing. I had heard it can take months to see it posted, so I made my submission in plenty of time. Hmmmmm, last time I was on HAL the email with my request was rejected due to my ,rr email address without any notification. I did call HAL World Cruise Dept that handles these requests prior to the cruise to check on it and the agent took care of me. To be sure I think I will send my request again from a different email address to Princess in case that is an issue again.
