  1. We love the ship! Have done three sailings on her. We enjoy all of the specialty restaurants- but not fans of sushi- The service is excellent and we especially loved the suite facilities. But overall the ship is the best- I am sure you will consider other celebrity E class ships in the future. Have a great cruise!
  2. Just got another Booster . We will be sailing again in August. I also was on the Apex- in March came home feeling okay- but decided to take a covid test- It was positive! Fortunately, I attriute it to the fact that I had the recommended Covid shots and Boosters, I was absolutely fine. Could have happened at airport or from crowded elevators- the ship was full and lots of kids. My DH and I are "young" seniors and healthy.
  3. A much debated topic. My DH wears a suit or sports coat- He also does at work. Again, you will see people dressed up and others not so. He enjoys dressing up as do I. Other nights, he wears slacks and a button down shirt- When we were confined due to covid- we lived in sweats- and looked sloppy- now we enjoy dressing up. Celebrating!
  4. You can do laundry on board- for a fee- unless you are Elite-Elite plus or higher status. If you are in a royal or penthouse suite unlimited. If you request fast service, you might have to pay a premium. We travel heavy to avoid having to do much laundry once on board. If you can uber to a self serve laundry- or go to an adjoining hotel with a coin laundry- do it.
  5. Getting the all in package so worth it for you! Also the all inclusive dinner plan. Gratuities, wiifi, would also be included in the delux packages, as well as some onboard credit.
  6. You can tell the waiter about your show schedule and he or she can make you dinner go faster- we have had dinner multiple times in eden on the Apex and Edge- Takes about 1 1/2 hours- if you drink many cocktails and coffee perhaps more-
  7. We are sailing on celebrity. Thought only disney has a cruise line shuttle from fll to mco?
  8. I enjoy a frozen strawberry Margareta- virgin. Also with this package, while you get bottled water, not the same as you get with the delux drink package. Also, my experience no canned soda- from the tap.
  9. Same on the Adventure of the Seas last May. Our Jr. suite was horrible- our coffee pot needed a long extension cord as no outlet nearby. The room was very tattered and rusty. Needs dry dock asap.
  10. We always try each one at least once. The only expection is sushi on five as that doesn't appeal to us nor does the Porch-too much seafood for my DH. Our favorite is the Lawn club grill, followed by Murano, Tuscan and try the Petite chef at least once. We always take a package, even though we are in a suite.
  11. I definately wouldn't try again. Room IMO seems smaller as it appears narrow. I would definately get an aft balcony which is still a true balcony or a cove balcony towards the front. While not a fully exposed balcony, at least you have fresh air when you want it, and the price is right. Now the royal new ship the Icon will have infinite balconies in some rooms. Reminds me of the huge rocking chair idea on the edge class ships, they were removed as they were a failure, but not easy to remove an ifinite balcony!
  12. Think you mean "backtier" but times no good need to arrive by late afternoon..
  13. tried looking at the yellow planes- but they don't fly from Ft Lauderdale to Orlando- possibly the train . Might have to drive ourselves. But wouldn't enjoy that. Thanks for your help . Uber probably outrageous, if I could even find a driver willing to go.
  14. Great posting! We will be on the Silhouette for the third time in January. A great ship. Have fun.
  15. Hi, My husband and I will be sailing out of Port Everglades in January and meeting family in Disney World. We do not want to rent a car to drive to Disney. We ideally would like a car/van service. Any suggestions that might be cost effective to travel? We will be sailing on a Celebrity cruise ship. We will bring three piecs of luggage and a carry on. Thanks.
  16. Having sailed AQ, now suites, IMO the AQ isn't worth it. We didn't use the spa more then once. Too small and stuffy- if only a couple of sea days, we wouldn't use on port days also. And the other perks not great. Whle Blu is more like a regular restaurant vs. a banquet hall, the tables for two on top of each other- like a long row of tables with maybe a foot in-between. The cabin "amenities" not worth it IMO. If not in a suite, will take a regular balcony cabin with UDP.
  17. We also like the UDP for dinners and typically take those on the Oasis class ships.
  18. The older ships have breakfast in Specialty restaurants- having dined in both costal kitchen on Oasis ships, and spec. restaurants on older ships, IMO Costal Kitchen so much better. We were never impressed by the spec. restaurant breakfast. We now only try to sail on Oasis class ships. Looking foward to the Icon of the Seas and that ship will have various suite dining options.
  19. Thanks for sharing- We will be on the Oasis this August from New Jersey. Have sailed on her previously. Love the ship. We also have stayed and enjoyed the EB hotel- beautiful when sailing from Miami. However not much to do in Miami springs. Great for one day/night. Now in Ft. Lauderdale, we stay at the Riverside Hotel on Los Olas Blvd. Wonderful hotel and location!
  20. We liked grease. Pretty good for a cruise ship imo.
  21. We will stay on this side of the pond for now. What about a good land tour? While I love cruising, sometimes you can get a great deal for a seasoned tour company.
