  1. We saw Mama Mia. It wasn't three hours. It was great. Enjoy. So much better then CATs. I will not see again- but probably will pass this time on the Oasis in a few months ugh.
  2. People had three or four in a cabin or suite. They anticipate in regular cabins/suites two. Lots of kids on our last apex sailing
  3. Yes. We booked early at a great rate also. We typically book suites, but may havevto get used to lesser accommodations
  4. I get sticker shock when I see the prices of the actual cruise. The airfare is also nuts now. Ironically the last cruise we were on a few weeks ago (celebrity apex) was overbooked. We were told that it was 105% of capacity. Clearly, lots of wealthy people out their. The prices aren't deterring them! All suites were booked.
  5. Costal kitchen is open. Typically if you arrive early no seating problem. Not sure about specialty restaurants on boarding day. Enjoy your cruise
  6. Love the Apex. We have sailed on her three times. We give additional tips to bartenders, $1. per drink and in Specialty restaurants typically $10 -$20 per couple. When I went to the hair salon, also gave additional tips, depending upon the level of service. Also to the cabin attendant. We bring about $150 for extra tipping. Chalk it up to misc.
  7. We enjoyed the infinity. She is in need of a major redo- but still a beautiful ship. We go back and forth and sail on Royal, Oasis class, and Celebrity S, M and now E class. Love them all for different reasons. Thanks for sharing.
  8. We also love the reflection and Silhouette. But give the apex and other edge class ships a try. We really loved it. So many positives. Truly a great ship. It is bigger, but well laid out and the pool deck and multiple dining rooms are great. I do not suggest an infinite veranda, but if not a suite, an aft balcony wonderful. Try it!
  9. They are so helpful. I put all hats and caps on them. Also my seapass cards. I use to hang important memos on also. My beach robe and swimsuit to dry- Also my beach bags. Great to buy heavy duty types. I use in bathroom to hang a clip clothes line in the bathroom
  10. We enjoy being near the elevators. Like cabins above and below. Also, get a cabin without a connecting door if possible and not across from a staff area- Enjoy your cruise.
  11. Our favorite is the Harmony of the Seas- really all Oasis class. We aren't fans of the old ships. Went on Adventure of the seas last summer so disappointing- old - run down staterooms. Never again.
  12. Wrinkle sprays like Downy pretty good. Steam bathroom by running hot water in shower or pay for pressing services. Worth a few dollars for those pieces you care about. We allow a misc fund for laundry and dry cleaning on our cruises.
  13. We have sailed in a suite and balcony cabin. We truly enjoyed luminae and then Michael's club. Of course the suite is larger. We didn't have a retreat deck, but heard on S class ships not like e-class ships. We will be sailing in a balcony our next silhouette sailing. We plan on dining in specialty restaurants for dinner. We like the solarium and will have no problem with a balcony cabin. Every cruise on Celebrity is a joy.
  14. My only concern would be the weather in May. We went in early August and the weather was perfect. So when you sail early that would be my worry- hope all is well and the weather good for you.
  15. We take the dining package and have dinner nightly in the specialty restaurants. So much better IMO the all of the regular and suite dining rooms. This past cruise we were disappointed at the rooftop grill on the Apex. Poor service. People using the restaurant as a public area walking in-between the tables to get to different parts of the rooftop. This area should be cordoned off to prevent this.
  16. Eden our favorite restaurant. The salad is a show. Can be shared. Also loved the mulligatawny soup. It was the best! We went to Eden twice and I had it both times. Everything was wonderful! Best service IMO of all of the specialty restaurants. Enjoy
  17. We sailed the week before you. A great ship with a wonderful staff. We especially loved dinner at Eden- dined twice their. I loved the suite lounge and retreat deck! Concierge ladies, Elana, Jet and Carolyne wonderful! I am sure they are treating you well!
  18. We booked a surfside family suite next year on the icon. It is an unusual configuration. Hope a decent suite. Hopefully the neighborhood not very noisy
  19. That can be a big deal if one partner is up early wants to sit on the veranda with a window open and another wants to sleep in. No ac. I assume this type of room works for some. Not for me.
  20. Yes i agree but i was told if bifold doors were open and window down even if you close the bifold doors while sitting on that sunporch the ac shuts off. So you cannot sit on the sun porch with open window and have a/c on in the room
  21. We were on the apex and they made everyone- remove their hats in the dining rooms.
