  1. That is an excellent idea about virtual as the Captain held one on BA for anyone when we sailed years ago when we sailed with you. The bonus was they showed engine room and other places not part of BTS. They even answered my question about an issue that popped up before our sailing that had an impact on a prior sailing that could have been an issue for us. Something with a damper IIRC. Think last bridge trip for us was Dawn with Captain Bengstton (sp) around ten years ago. There were maybe three families and we spent a solid hour up there. He was so nice and loved sharing his experiences.
  2. When was the last bridge tour you had? To best of what I've read here and our experience, bridge tours ended years ago. Other BTS contacts were easily socially distanced. Heck, even the main show area you didn't run into anyone other than guide, guests, and security. So if ok to do VIP party last month on Prima with wall to wall people how is this one a no go?
  3. Correct, and while I've heard of it in the past, no more. We even had a port cancelled and no refund of port fees. I asked about it and got no response.
  4. On BA it was pretty quiet. Bigger issue was on time, seated late, place was maybe 50% full and service was horrible. Cagney's across the fleet has been on a slide yet prices keep going up.
  5. We ate one lunch there. Service slow despite tons of staff, got non solicited apology, food just OK. Menu looks great, reality just ok. Seated by kitchen door, so much for 270" view. Head to the Local which was much better all around. Note the Local Rueben is some type of beef but not corned beef but it passes.
  6. Hard to say. The computers driving things and the new ships crazy high. Go with price good to you. We just sailed Prima and I would not pay much extra to sail it.
  7. They are using it as an excuse. On the BTS tour you only come into contact with guide and security and guests. No different than anywhere else on the ship. No problem with VIP party, packed. Lats was a joke on Prima. No BTS, no dinner with officer (not a big loss), no Sapphire pins, wine tasting was a wait list.
  8. MSC varies. Typically out of US they are Coke, Europe Pepsi.
  9. Not a Haven thing, but ship wide is SWIFT, not sure if that has been mentioned elsewhere.
  10. Behind the curvy walls in Haven lounge are pictures 1 and 3. The second is the Haven jail for those that have too much at the bar. It is located just as you come in from the outside to inside on the left, it is pretty much is closed off and appears to be used for storage.
  11. This is the ghost sink in the bathroom by the Haven restaurant (being shy for the camera). There are two of these as you enter the common area (there is a mens, ladies, and family bathroom past these sinks. This one would often have water running for no reason. At first I thought it might be getting activated by the outer door opening but that was not the case. Another guest had noticed the same thing about it running for no reason. So much for water conservation.
  12. There are also nice cushions on the balconies. I was a bit worried about all the water and salt that got on them before stewards could stash behind the drapes in the room. They were dry inside.
  13. Some pics of the Haven outside area. The first picture is right outside by the bar. The one with the cabanas is starboard side but port side looks about the same. Those are some comfy loungers despite us not getting to use much due to weather. The cabanas double as the cushion jail.
  14. It was rainy on most of our 12 days and what happens is nobody uses the outdoor areas. I was surprised that the Haven lounge area wasn't too full other than the bar. The lounge area is really not big enough especially like you mention space on other ships. My thoughts were people either exploring other areas of the ship or in rooms. On our floor, we barely saw anyone.
  15. That comment on Prima OS needs clarification. There are categories H5-H2 having some version of OS in the name. I can say from staying in a H5 that room does not have a second bedroom. There is a pretty comfortable double sized couch in the living room though. That is a good idea about umbrellas but they may have a wind issue keeping them in place when underway.
  16. Our guac just showed up, no table prep. I said in our review that our local Mexican food anywhere nearby is better.
  17. If you want to walk maybe three miles. They have shuttles. We used to do rentals coming to and leaving ships. With all the growth there it became a major hassle as not able to handle the amount they sold. We did one in September of last year and Budget had just reopend and we had rental from Miami to PC. Hertz was down for the count. Note the hours in the evening not the best.
  18. Prima had coke, diet coke, coke zero, sprite, sprite zero for sure. Sometimes Haven ran out of one of those to be replenished later on.
  19. Did not see a speck of soot. Did see some rust already. I see Oxo's post below. Not sure why different other than maybe weather? Our trip was mostly cool, rainy, foggy. It's kind of like the Sun where some people get soot and sewage smell aft and others are like what are you talking about.
  20. As I said in a different post, an OS on Prima is like second smallest in the fleet as an example as far as OS goes.
