  1. I had option to pick trip in February for two rooms back to back. Will be doing our sixth and seventh YC.
  2. Thanks for the info. In the long mixed shot thread there was discussion about this. Then there are the upcharges for drinks now like Baileys and Crown. Sailed Prima in Haven, ordered a Crown and told $1.00 extra plus 20%. CLASSY!
  3. On Prima the Haven restaurant is called the Haven restaurant. There is also Cagney's but not where Haven eat free.
  4. When we sailed September, it was David and several others. Not the most helpful bunch. Butlers Gary and Lucky. Didn't catch names of others. Gary was great as was his assistant Tomi.
  5. Avoid 8 as you are above Bliss. I recall when bidding first started, people would bid on those categories, they'd win but get the rooms on 8, then they'd report how bad the noise was.
  6. Getaway no roof over pool. Prima would fit but you are totally subject to weather and there is little shade.
  7. Escape is a great ship, tons to do. We sailed on Prima and it had overall upgraded feeling to it but most venues too small. Viva shows definitely book ahead. No real complaints about the food anywhere on the ship.
  8. To make matters worse, Prima Haven pool is outside with no roof. Plus little shade.
  9. There is no priority seating and yes, seating is limited. To make matter worse, they have some tables for six that, no blame, a couple of two will take because no other option. If you sit at a specific counter, have to eat what they serve there. Never saw anyone take food out but not sure if allowed or not. I know some say portions large, not really, I'd call most a tasting. No trays so not sure how you would cart a bunch of food off. Are you in a Haven suite? If so, the Haven elevators are very close by but they for sure don't stop at 9. Other elevators forward of the Local so a hike. A better option if weather is good is order at spot and take food outside weather permitted or, if they let you, grab food and eat at tables in Local which are right there.. Lots of seating outside.
  10. We did exactly this. DW and I had the air promo. Delta out, United back. DD also on trip. Got air details about 40 days out. Air on United cheapest was $500 for DD coming back. Could book all three of us on AA in first class for around $600 coming back. Plus I detest UA.
  11. I can tell you Prima included internet was dial up speed over 12 days. I guess we never got aligned with the correct satellites during that time.
  12. We were just on Prima and you could read CC but not post using ship wifi without having to be logged into your plan.
  13. We've sailed POA twice. First 2006 and it was a mess all around but that was when they had three ships there. Sailed again 2016 after drydock and it was great. I have not seen many reviews since restart, but POA was one of the last in the fleet to restart and reading between the lines it seemed like getting staff back may have been an issue. The most I've seen since restart is about people getting cancelled due to capacity but that was back awhile.
  14. We sailed Mera a year ago and have a b2b set for February. Great ship.
  15. Definitely go see it. I'd rate a six. A bit too long and life involved. There are three Donnas at different ages.
  16. Heck, we were on Spirit where they closed down the aft section behind buffet for an afternoon crew party for getting 100% on an inspection. Thought it was a nice gesture.
  17. Our recent Prima sailing we saw more crew in public areas eating than ever before. I thought it was maybe a new benefit and thought it was great. They generally sat in less busy places like behind the Surfside grill or outside in the eating area between the pool and grill. It wasn't too warm and they had jackets on but they were all having a good time with smiles on face and bothering no one.
  18. I meant Lat Rewards in general. But that is a good point about the party as I used to drag wife to them then she refused, then I got it why. That being said, we have met a couple wonderful folks there over the years that are still active here and one couple maybe no longer with us. Escape got constant great reviews for the party so we went and it was great.
  19. I'd agree with you about the drunk part. We just sailed and lots of people drinking a lot we only saw one person out of line over 12 days. Other trips same.
  20. Our recent Prima sailing Crown was now an extra $1.00 +20% in Haven. That is pure nickel and dime yet pound foolish. They also had big fancy ice cubes. I'm all for that yet a tap cocktail in maybe a 7 oz glass filled with the big cubes and no kick would be $13. If there was 3 oz of liquid, I'd be surprised.
  21. I asked CN desk guy about all the missing benefits and pins and nothing, not even apology. This was Prima and Sapphire.
