  1. I've checked under Grand Voyages, South America, World Cruise and don't see any.
  2. We sailed with someone who sailed in the port side room or one forward and main issue was loungers being put out early.
  3. Right, on Divinia the YC restaurant is in the back. People complain about having to walk outside to get there or having to go down to seven then back up (which is how butler takes you first night) Just go down to 13 and walk aft then back up. The funny thing is the restaurant overlooks the aft adult pool. Our first lunch people were changing into swimsuits to go swimming. There is an outside bar port side just outside the restaurants. That is also a smoking area fyi. Divina is not a smart ship so it does not use the wristbands.
  4. We had great flights to LHR in September and back home from NYC.
  5. Much already covered but like Havens on NCL, the YC on MSC has evolved too. The first class of MSC ships having YC includes Divinia and our first trip was on Divinia as was our last on MSC. Divina YC is very good. Main complaints is restaurant is in back, not a big deal but fixed on newer class and lack of shade by pool which also partially corrected on Divinia but more so on newer classes. Grill by pool. Butlers have always been great vs NCL who are so so. On Divinia behind YC is jungle pool with movable roof if weather bad. Overall rooms smaller but nicely appointed. Note Divinia does not have YC interiors but on the newer ships they are small and shower is literally coffin sized.
  6. We sailed Prima for 12 days. Ship is beautiful, very upscale feel to it except Haven feels a bit minimalist. Lots of outdoor areas but weather wasn't the best for us. Haven outdoor without a roof so that is a waste if inclement weather. Small venues my biggest complaint whether it be the clubs, Food Hall, or the Grill. However, if weather good, you could grab food and eat outside. Clubs I'd even suggest they were over capacity and a hazard. Lots of outdoor areas, never felt claustrophobic and found it pretty easy to get around. Unlike BA which I don't like either, Prima seems to spread guests out much better. The MDRs are fancy looking with the aft one great views.
  7. Were you on the TA? The captain made an announcement..not to hassle Guest Services... He could have easily included a message about Port fees so people understand what was going on but he didn't. In the absence of them telling us, none of us know.
  8. Heck, even suite or Haven some of the concierges are pretty lame.
  9. We were too. Do you know if Iceland actually charged more? Did they ever say that when the Captain said we were missing a port and ...don't harass Guest Relations...? They never said we are using missed port fees for extra time in Iceland.
  10. We had great flights through the bogo air in September to LHR.
  11. There are so many options there it really is going to vary widely on your tastes. I'm a big eater and at first I thought not going to be enough food. Have eaten there at least four times on two ships. Last was three of us with eight dishes and we were all full.
  12. Welcome to CC. I'll bite. Because you can enjoy the ship once you get on which is typically noon for the groups they first let on. You can have lunch, go to pools, enjoy bar service, etc. Plus if your hotel kicks you out at 11, where you going to hang out? But feel free to go as you feel fit so long as you are on by the latest time they designate.
  13. That sounds right and what we experienced on those two ships.
  14. Note Pan Am can be congested especially if two ships there. Later will be less congested.
  15. Interesting that I read Prima mini golf was a charge but when we sailed there was a sign that said free. Not sure if a one off or if they didn't want to staff it as weather was cold most days and the poor staff in that area were in coats by go cart area and other venues and it was windy up there.
  16. Try a studio for solo. Prices on that ship are overall higher.
  17. Hopefully the speed with the upgrade is better than the regular package as for us on Prima it was like dial up at best. Also, they say to hit the 'logout' button when done but that page always disappeared for us after logging in so we just closed browser. No noticeable loss of minutes by not logging out.
  18. Think you already figured it out. We recently sailed Prima in Haven with DD in an OS. Those Viva Haven prices are ridiculous. Yes, the restaurant was great, bar pretty good, pool area useless due to weather, little shade. You can easily spend some of the savings on specialties.
  19. I know this is an older thread, but we sailed September and first night Captain came on and said due to weather we'd miss Scotland which was a port of interest to us. Said ...don't hassle guest services desk.... about it which implied they would make us whole, just don't complain about not being able to get there. Whether people did or didn't, I have no idea. Guess what, no refund of port fees. Asked concierge, never got back to us. But to answer your question, we've had few changes before trip but never recall refund or charge in that window.
  20. Have not sailed Joy but think you made the right move. Prima Haven outdoor area useless if weather not good. Plus little shade. Haven restaurant was great as was bar staff.
  21. I can say on Prima in Haven with regular drink package I ordered a Coke Zero for breakfast. They asked fountain or can? I said can thinking odd question then they said cans are a charge.
  22. We've had gold but plenty of reds and purples.
