  1. 12112 was a beautiful cabin on the Beyond. Great amenities. Some minor creaking from the walls.
  2. Some are difficult to open for those with arthritis. I was helping other cruisers open them. It may be a good idea to bring a rubber gripper.
  3. We sailed in Aqua and the mattresses were new and very comfortable. Our cabin had new curtains, carpeting, comforter, new or re-upholstered furniture. I believe all Concierge and up had the re-fresh.
  4. Agreed. The metal container was fine when cold but not as tasty when at room temperature. I preferred the Celebrity brand versus a brand they substituted which I think was from Florida. That one had a strange taste at all temperatures. The metal containers are the way to go when leaving the ship. Got to be careful when opening.
  5. Both are good ships. As mentioned, there are different options for Specialty Dining on the Silhouette. We enjoy the Lawn Club Grill. However, Equinox had a partial refurbishment. Some Veranda rooms were not upgraded. We were fortunate to have our room upgraded in Aqua Class on Equinox and we could immediately see the difference from our previous cruise.
  6. Some people use blankets to watch the movie. It was interesting to watch a wiffle ball attempt to go back and forth while the ship is moving and with the windy conditions at sea.
  7. There were all levels trying to play on the Beyond. A couple of players wanted to know why they could not play when the movie was playing? Give me a break. Thankfully, staff removed all of the equipment.
  8. The people I see playing don't move much. Oh, they probably got ankle sprains heading off the court to make sure they arrive in time for the early bird menu.
  9. It was located by the Rooftop Garden. The same area was used for movies and family games. There were specific times listed in the program for the various events. Thank goodness they limited the days and times for pickelball.
  10. We were on the Beyond. There was little noise from outside when the windows were open. However, when neighbors were opening and closing their windows/blinds, it was noticeable. It only lasted for about a minute. We had no issues regarding the bathroom doors. The biggest issue with the Beyond were the number of complaints of noise coming from the walls and ceilings in certain rooms. We were lucky not to experience any of those sounds.
  11. Eden for dinner is really special. We ate there twice last cruise. Service was top notch. If you like beef, then the Fine Cut Steakhouse is a good choice but comes in #2 for us.
  12. We did not have a problem getting loungers with a nearly full ship on sea days. You may want to start with a day pass and check it out unless you book Aqua Class where it is included.
  13. Both a Prosecco and the Celebrity Vintages are included in the Classic Package.. I suggest the Prosecco.
  14. I say to our wine server "I have the Classic Package and want to stay within this package". I ask for recommendations and usually there are several to chose from. On our last cruise in a specialty restaurant, the server told us that the basic Riesling wines did not arrive and a nice substitution was provided at no additional cost.
  15. There are some with Zenith status who like to flaunt it on board. Last cruise, there was a couple who had multiple SeaPass cards all from past cruises on this special lanyard. Then there is one poster who asks other cruisers about the class they are cruising and then introduce self as "My name is X and I am a Zenith". These individuals do get to be known on the ship for one reason or another. I think some the issues taking place is that there has been a big turnover in help and many staff are learning their jobs. Just got to be patient with them.
  16. The wellness check was a breeze. Then came the agonizing wait. 11 to 11:30 am is my guess. Have a great cruise and bring some quality binoculars.
  17. It is not hard to miss a two burner hot plate or toaster oven!
  18. The cooker will be placed in storage and most likely will be placed on a large table upon leaving the ship with items that have been confiscated. These include irons, crockpots, knives, swords, handcuffs, coffee makers, etc.
  19. I believe you did the math correctly. The tips used to be included in the quoted price but now a mandatory tip is added prior to purchase.
  20. In Seattle, the service is not through Celebrity. The program is sponsored by the Port of Seattle. It is an excellent program. In Florida, it was not offered on our recent cruise.
  21. On our recent cruise, we just showed up to the dining room of our choice. No reservations needed. You could try different dining rooms. When we arrived at 6:30 pm in Normandie, we were told to return in an hour as the restaurant was full. (as was the cruise). The next night, we arrived earlier.
  22. If you are traveling with friends, all should be in the same class to avoid potential issues. You will be happy in Aqua Class and Blu. Enjoy!
  23. The price is good. However, on my cruise, I could send and receive photos without any problems. However, when trying to connect via live video, forget it. Very frustrating as I would have the audio but no video. The key is what use would you be paying for....
  24. The Specialty Restaurant Tuscan Grill is not related to the MDR on any Edge Class ship. Completely different menus and atmosphere.
  25. Your title used in this topic is very misleading. Please show care in the future, especially if you are very so critical.
