  1. Those aluminum bottles were given out on the Beyond recently. Got some exercise opening them!
  2. On our last cruise, you could order two appetizers and two desserts with no problem. Be prepared to pay $20 for an additional entree.
  3. If you are looking for an excellent meal, there are better choices. If you want some entertainment and good food, then this is the place for you.
  4. The buffet is the way to go with kids. Meals can take a looooong time. There are numerous options for children and adults at the buffet. As mentioned, there is a small child section. They will be happy there and so will you. At the buffet, there are dinner theme nights. Italian Mexican, British, etc. Enjoy.
  5. An iPad will fit in the safe but not your Mac. I bring my MacBook all the time and never a problem.
  6. In addition, the Mast Grill is open from 11:30 to 6 pm for burgers, hot dogs, and fries.
  7. Keep in mind that Equinox was only partially refurbished. Aqua class and up were done and not all of the traditional verandas were upgraded. Equinox is a nice ship but I found it to be lacking in decor as compared to other S-class ships. Expect the cruisers to be "middle aged'. Fairly typical for Celebrity. We have done the guarantee once and have found out our assignment in a couple of days. But that was our experience. We were then able to move to another room as there were others available in that category. If not, you may be in a cabin location that is not ideal. That is why I like to pick out my room. Also consider the itinerary which may be important. Celebrity has a good smoking policy which we like being nonsmokers.
  8. I have found that cruisers tend to dress up more on the European itineraries. I would bring along a jacket on that cruise but not so in the Caribbean or Alaska.
  9. On Equinox, we received the laundry the next afternoon. On Beyond, we made sure we got it in early in the morning and it took 2 days. Not what it said on the laundry slip.
  10. Does the Captain also advertises making appearances at jewelry and watch shops like the Captain on our last couple of cruises?
  11. Just remember that the rooms you are looking at do not have a traditional balcony.
  12. Don't worry. Lobster casserole was not listed in our app for Eden on the Beyond. It was served and is one of the more popular entrees. It was delicious and we had it twice (not on the same night).
  13. I received my point this morning. Can you gift your points to a family member or include them in a will? Free laundry. The gift that keeps on giving...
  14. It was set up at the Rooftop Garden on the Beyond. Times were limited as the area is also used for other activities such as movies. family games, meditation, etc.
  15. We were not charged in Alaska. However, we had started our meal in international waters on the way to San Juan and the oven broke at the Lawn Club Grill. We finally finished the meal in San Juan waters and were charged tax on the entire cost of the meal.
  16. Never been asked to show my I.D. at any port. I still bring it along just in case. Never bring the original passport ashore.
  17. On the Beyond last month, it was 6 months to book your cruise.
  18. The newsletter is called Celebrity Today.and is delivered to your room nightly. by your attendant. Once you have booked a cruise, the actual Evening Chic days will be found in the app.
  19. We booked Eden and Fine Cut Steakhouse 6 months before our cruise. We wanted to book another night a couple of weeks before our cruise but no times were available. On board, there was a wait list for Eden in case there were cancellations. Eden was real special.
  20. Check your cruise planner for a sale. It will usually be a coupon for $13 a day for the upgrade. But if you have a loyalty discount, that will also be applied by calling Captain's Club. With our Elite 30% discount, we paid $9 a day for the upgrade to Premium.
  21. I would tend to lean to the Silhouette. It has the Lawn Club Grill which is a plus for us. Don't be too concerned with the Beyond if you can get a room that does not have a noise problem. It may take some reviews on your part. We had an Aqua Class room that was dead quiet on Beyond.
  22. Was on less than a month ago. There were 3 production shows and they were outstanding. There was a very good musical group and guest singer, and a comedian. We enjoyed the comedian. The shows in Eden were not our style. They were transitioning to a new cast that week.
  23. I had asked other cruisers on Beyond about the noises in their cabins. About 10 couples. Unfortunately, more than not had issues which included creaking and/or banging. We were in calm seas as well. We were lucky as our AQ cabin was real quiet --but I was apprehensive before the cruise. It seemed that more issues were on the starboard side but this was a small sampling.
  24. For sending basic emails, the Basic Plan should be fine. However, if the attachments involve photos or detailed sketches, then both plans would present challenges. Staff suggested to me that I use Internet services at the ports and they were correct. Everything was received and went through with no difficulties including photos.
  25. I found the pizza to be edible. The sauce was bland. What helped were the pepper flakes and the grated parmesan cheese that you could add to the pizza. Much better choices of foods available at the buffet. The biggest hit at the pizza station were the garlic sticks. Very good!
