  1. You will both have separate accounts with different log ins. Yes, both of you can be 'on' at the same time.
  2. When you click on the refundable fare, the insurance program disappears and becomes 'unchecked'. Then when you get to check out, your price does not include the insurance. But you believe you have the insurance. Not good. I had reserved a cruise and when I went to reprice it, I said "Wow, I am saving $600". But the one reserved included the insurance and the re-priced one did not.
  3. I remember going there (when we could tender due to calm seas) and the place was just beautiful. It felt like we had the whole island to ourselves. I recall the bar out in the water and how quiet it was. Now it may be like one of those water parks in Orlando.
  4. You should do a room search as there were many rooms on the Beyond that had noises coming from the ceiling or walls. We were fortunate but others were not.
  5. We typically cruise during February on Celebrity. There are children but very few. Don't worry. But the story is different on RC and the Fun Ships.
  6. Ships cruising at over 90% occupancy. Common stock price over $100. I don't think there is much incentive to offer the points at this time. But I could be wrong.
  7. Our favorite on the Beyond was Eden. We enjoyed it more so much that we went back for a second night to try other dishes. The lobster casserole was outstanding as the lobster came from Nova Scotia per the menu. It was real lobster and not that stuff served in the MDR. The crab cake was probably the best we ever had. Service was top notch. Fine Cut Steakhouse was ok. The steaks were fatty and some of the side dishes were so so.
  8. You are correct. I thought I got a very good deal on a package. Then I thought it was too good. The Cruise Care Insurance was not included even though I knew I had checked the box. That could be disastrous as you mentioned. When I did go back and made sure it was checked, the price increased. Poor design and confusing.
  9. On the Beyond, we received an 8% discount by prebooking The 8% was available for every night about 6 months out. Then the restaurants began to fill up. There were no 30% discounts available on our cruise for the first night. We received 8%. However, on the S-class ships, we have generally received a 35% off on the first night. Supply and demand.
  10. Yes, as mentioned, water and soda continue to be included. Be aware that due to supply issues on our Beyond cruise, some of the Classic wines were not available. Most of the time, a Premium wine was substituted at no upcharge. Also, many bars ran out of a couple of Coke products after a few days.
  11. What you may be seeing is that there are two prices for the Cruise Care Insurance. One is for Nonrefundable and the other is for Refundable. The price does increase for the initial quote because it is priced for Nonrefundable. I do agree that it can be confusing the way it is presented online. My insurance went up $70 between quotes.
  12. It is fine if you are a typical cruiser. Those who cruise in suites will see a difference. On one of our cruises, we left from 25 and returned at 29. Easy departure at 29 each time but can be confusing trying to find your car.
  13. On this cruise, a group booked ALL of the Specialty Restaurants for the entire night. Good for Celebrity but not good for a couple that wanted to go to Murano to celebrate their anniversary.
  14. The same should be said about challenging certain staff members. On the Solstice, the manager of Blu had reserved 5 tables of 2 for a party of 10 for 7 pm for each dinner seating. He had said there were no reserved seating but was making an exception. These tables were prime being center by the windows. The sad part was that only on the first night did all 10 show up. Typically, it was 6 of the party. I did bring this to his attention and then with the Comments Cards during and after the cruise.
  15. Agreed. Never heard of that. Some people worry about everything. I would ask for a tag and fill it out if I am concerned with the porter's handwriting. I also never had a problem with the wrong room. We also tip the porter. If you have the time, head to your public library.
  16. If you look like Ken or Barbie, you will be allowed on the water slide. Old farts like most of us nap in loungers in the shade by the beach. Men must wear knee high socks.
  17. Check out the ads. Can you find anyone over 40 years old in any of the photos at CocoCay?
  18. There is no comparison between the Specialty Restaurants between the two classes. On the S class, you have Murano, the view of the wake from Tuscan Grill, and you may have the Lawn Club on select ships. We did a visit to the Tuscan at Constellation and decided it was not for us. It was dark but we were expecting a nice view like on S-class. Not for us.
  19. If I were paying for 2 and being alone in a room, then I should have the option to bring in a guest. However, if I am paying for one, I should not expect my non-Aqua guest to be accommodated.
  20. I would go with Silhouette. It is updated and just has a more open feel to the ship. There are nice choices in Specialty Restaurants on Silhouette which include Murano (my favorite), Lawn Club Grill and Tuscan Grill. Have a great cruise.
  21. You should just show up to the main dining room around 6 pm and you will be accommodated. No reservations needed unless you are thinking of dining one evening at a Specialty Restaurant. You will need one there.
  22. I checked in about 3 days after the official check in date and received the time of my choice. This was for Port Everglades. So there may not be a need to stay up late to do so.
  23. You may be disappointed with the Persian Garden on the Constellation if you have been on those on the S and E class ships. It seemed dark inside but had the basics. You should take a tour of the Garden when you arrive on the ship and then decide.
  24. We only had a problem when we arrived at 6:30 and were told to come back in about 45 minutes. The party ahead of us were 3 of the singers and dancers and they were told the same. Thereafter, we arrived between 5:15 and 5:30 and walked right in. We were told there were no reservations for any of those 4 MDR.
  25. There is some incorrect information posted on these boards. Sad but true. Blu is for those registered in Aqua Class and for those dining in Luminae on a space available basis.
