  1. It's my happy, happy birthday today ( no singing please ,). We went into one of my favourite restaurants. If they start singing, I'm off.
  2. I got the waiters singing happy birthday on a Nile cruise 13 years ago. Never again thank you. How embarrassing. OK if you are a kid, but a load of blokes singing to me, no thanks. Perhaps their enthusiasm was because that is their job.
  3. I now double and triple check all mine. In the past, many were urined.
  4. Seems like wandering around with a selfie stick to post your views on the internet is very enjoyable. Watching it.....less so.
  5. Time for dinner. What queue join on the app?. For us, it's the one with the shortest queue. Same food in all of them. In and out fairly quickly and off to the shows.
  6. I didn't turn the telly on till 9.30am and thought a T20 must be an old Triumph motorbike. Did we win?. Come on you reds/blues/greens........🤣
  7. Didn't know there was any cricket until 9.30. Where's Sunday brunch gone?.
  8. Or as DW often says " when are you gonna grow up ? " 🤣
  9. Mid November, too early. Not for Mr Ho, Ho, Ho.🎅
  10. What ship Vamps?. Have a great cruise and a few of your onboard posts would be much appreciated.🧛‍♀️
  11. We have accepted it and were fortunate that we could accommodate it. Many thousands of women had to work on if they could.. if not..........
  12. I'm sure she will spend it wisely. DW got hers in February and got the letter informing her that she will get the winter fuel allowance. I reckon it will go on a surprise Chrisy present for me.......not🤣
  13. Same as my wife was. Fortunately we were able to accommodate the change. Many, many thousands of women were not.
  14. We have been on about a dozen ships with 6 different cruise lines. The one we didn't enjoy was............nope enjoyed them all.
  15. We have been on Britannia 7 times and Iona once so it's obvious which ship we prefer, but we have a cruise booked on Iona for October. Folk have their own preference. As you say. each to their own. We will probably go on Arvia at some point. but won't complain that she is too big. We know it will be big.👎
  16. Having been on Iona I can understand some ' Seasonned cruiser " comments. We prefer Glass house and beach house on Britannia. Late lounge is better on Britannia. but the keel and cow is nice as is the Quays. 710 is good. I struggle to understand folk who criticise because she is big, new, or not Saga. Many of those criticisms from folk who haven't been on her.
  17. We have only been on Iona once. Probably the first of many. Stunning
  18. If you read the whole thread you will find that many posters agree with P&O. I am sure you also told your staff that the customer is not always right.
  19. We prefer Britannia, but Iona is very acceptable, very acceptable indeed. Iona is booked for next October. Last time we were on her ,everything was fine.
  20. . I agree with the cc article. I like the big ,new, shiny ships. Iona is a stunner.🤣
  21. Get well soon. Rest will help. Put a chair by the window so you have no need to stand when the hunky dustmen come around next week. 🤣
  22. @grapau27 Graham. I didn't know that, but do now. This could be good fun.🤣
