    Galveston has some very cheap cruises. Since you live in Texas I would book A cruise out of Galveston for my first cruise. I would do 7 days to see if you like it.

    I always shop around, but my main TA almost always beats them all. I received 175$ obc for my last cruise that cost 1375$ for 2.

    I would go with Celebrity, they are a step up from Princess. I have been on about 10 Princess cruises and I really like Princess. But the food is much better and the balcony room is also larger than the inside room.

    We booked 2 excursions on black Friday for our November 9th cruise. They were 30 and 40 percent off.

    If you are looking for things to do in Nassau we love going to Breezes resort. It is about 12 min. from the cruise port. We just get a ride at the port and pay 100$ a person at the resort. That includes all your food, drinks, pools, hot tub and the beach.

    I would still look at some cruises. Maybe you would like a party boat. We have been on a couple of short cruises that were great. Princess or Celebrity will have an older crowd and be a more relaxing cruise.

    If you can't afford the cruise and tips find another vacation. You know the price and the tip percentage before you book. I am a thrifty guy, but I always tip extra for good service.

    Liberty is a great ship with plenty of things to do. Plus 9 days and it is easier to get to. I think this is an easy choice. We are just back from a 9 day cruise with 10 people and everyone loved it. 2 of the couples were on a cruise for the first time. We are all booked again on April 4th and November 9th. One is 8 days and the other is 12 days.

    Nobody will care one way or the other. Everyone on the ship will be happy to be on a cruise. We have met the nicest people on our 36 cruises. So have fun and don't worry about anything.

    Most of our friends that we have brought into the world of cruising, thought that the ship is always rocking. After a few cruises they don't even take dramamine anymore.

    Back in 2005 we cruised on Celebrity and when we first cruised with Royal they gave us the 7 points from Celebrity. After our first Royal cruise we had 14 points, 7 from each cruise.

    I always book 8 or more days. It makes your total vacation costs go down. That is when you total in flights and hotel, your per day cost goes down. We always pack extra hangers. Just have fun, that is what cruising is all about.

    I have cruised with 3 teens and I would pick Royal Caribbean. Do some research ad I think you will agree.
