  1. I'm definitely trying it! 😁
  2. Uh oh... looks like the dreaded 'Rustic Lasagna' has reared its ugly head again! 😬
  3. Right, because everybody's definition of 'good placement' is different. We currently have a starboard side aft inside cabin on deck 6 booked on NS for next March that we think is great placement on that ship.
  4. Thanks, but I'm wondering if we can purchase them after we board the ship for cruise port to airport transportation at end of the cruise. We have a lot of OBC, and are looking for various ways to use it after boarding.
  5. Can we purchase transfers onboard, and if so, use OBC for this?
  6. If we didn't purchase airport transfers at time of booking, and now think we may want them, where/how can we purchase them?
  7. Wrong.. We are not leaving anything on the table by employing a third party TA to negotiate OBC. We ALWAYS get maximum OBC by managing our own booking. I'm denying that undeniable fact, thank you very much!
  8. Agree.. That I do not understand, and don't care to, thank you.
  9. We always book directly with HAL and NEVER leave money on the table. It baffles me why you would suggest otherwise.
  10. We were all 'working' at one time or another, which is irrelevant here. 'Screen prints and documenting everything' has worked out for me very well for many years (even when I was working)..
  11. Need more details on this one, such as what time was your boarding, sailing; and what time did you arrive at the port.
  12. As others have said, really, you don't need one. Deal with HAL directly, and manage your own bookings. Trust me, you will get better results and be much happier.
  13. The key for me is to be careful not to book more cruises than I can comfortably manage at the same time. Takes the stress out of everything, which is really what we want, right?
  14. That's why you have to own and manage your own booking, without anyone else in the middle to confuse things. We request and receive an updated guest confirmation every time we make a change to our booking. This way we always have the most recent version of all the details associated with the booking for our records.
  15. Or in our case, ask HAL to send you a new one. We are our own TA, as we prefer not to have a 'middleman' to potentially muck up the works (YMMV) 😉
  16. Got it.. I guess I was thrown off by the comment, since the discussion immediately prior to yours was focused around options for taking water off the ship during port visits.
  17. Is that what you do to take water off the ship? Hmmmm, interesting. And it doesn't sound too portable.
  18. Not necessarily. Depends on a few factors, such as how many additional apps (on average) the typical PG guest will have. Trust me, the bean counters at HAL have these numbers. My personal experience prior to adding the surcharge was that I have seen various guests on different occasions order multiple apps along with their main, sides and desserts. And the surcharge doesn't apply to the more and more folks that are receiving a 'free' PG dinner as part of their HIA, or any other promo they may have.
  19. Several years ago a friend we were cruising with broke a crown biting down on something hard. She used a piece of cauliflower as a temporary replacement crown, and it looked okay. Didn't last very long though.. 😄
  20. No, but recommend tipping the person who brings it.
  21. Likely not, but it will definitely affect their bottom line if a lot of people get multiple apps consistently over time. It adds up..
  22. That's great, but is the "never again" part necessary? I'm pretty sure that the seating staff is not really interested in your personal reasons why you're not interested in sharing a table.
