  1. Keep in mind that if you are in the same cabin, you will not be able to cancel just one drink package. It's both or nothing.
  2. Carnival used to have the same menu at every bar. They hired a beverage manager who came up with the idea that there should be specialty bars, each with their own signature drinks. Most of those drinks did not exist on Carnival before this concept was implemented. So don't think of it as "Carnival won't make any drink I want at every bar on the ship". It is "Each Carnival bar has its own unique menu". Just like a large hotel in a resort area may have several specialty bars. I don't go to the bar that has 80 beers on tap at my favorite Las Vegas hotel and expect them to make me a frozen Pina Colada just because another one of their bars serves them.
  3. I misread the question as well. I agree with the others.
  4. I am not sure that the flat rate pricing applies if you leave Miami, which would be the case if you are taking the cab all the way to Fort Lauderdale.
  5. We have taken Ubers from Miami to Fort Lauderdale hotels. You don't need the name of the terminal. The app knows where you are.
  6. Some of the top shelf liquors, I believe. I am more of rail booze girl myself...
  7. I had the watermelon soup on my last cruise. It was clear - I don't think there was any dairy in it at all.
  8. I am not sure that you can use your one experience to make blanket statements about every high-floor balcony on every ship on every cruise. I have never needed a fan.

  10. And seeing that FTTF sells out on many, if not most cruises, it is not overpriced. If anything, they could probably raise the price some and still sell out.
  11. It also insures that they will only be giving them to the people that actually want them. I am sure before the "scavenger hunt", hundreds of those things went straight into the garbage every cruise.
  12. In a case like that, I would mention to the person that I am tipping that this is a little extra in addition to the standard gratuities. That way it is clear.
  13. They give you the list of wines you may choose from when you buy the package. You can get all of them in the main dining room.
  14. If it were up to me, I would take it one step further and make the new casino the smoking one. I hate walking having to walk past/through the smoky casino on the promenade deck to get to everything else. The new casinos are a little more out of the way.
  15. As one shouldn't. Even the porters tell you to always carry on a bag that has your passports, important paperwork, medications, etc. And I also put a swimsuit and a change of clothes in my carry-on in case there is a major delay in getting my luggage delivered.
  16. I get wine packages all the time, and I have never been stopped when wI carry our open bottle out of the MDR.
  17. I see a lot of younger people (men and women alike) wearing fanny packs across their chest. They are usually nicer than the giveaway kind, though.
  18. Why not bring it if you have one? It takes up absolutely no room in your luggage, and you spend zero time worrying about getting asked for it.
  19. 😁 John Heald just announced the new gift on Facebook - 3 different pieces that one would get on successive cruises. The first is a logo duffel bag, next is a fanny pack (or as he called it, a "bum bag") and third is a toiletry kit. It appears that there are additional items inside the bags, but he really didn't go into detail about them.
  20. Or search for old Costa Luminosa pictures/videos. I don't think Carnival changed much, especially in the rooms.
  21. This. While the ship is still in port, I just use my phone's data plan. The other good reason to do that is DH and I share a Carnival WiFi package, and this way we are both able to use internet at the same time.
  22. Yes, I just figured that out and was trying to edit my response. ðŸĪŠ
  23. How did you win both casino play and the bingo package on the same card? The prizes are based on the number of matches you get on each card.
