  1. St. Johns port is open but on a limited basis. The ferry only runs on a limited schedule during the day. Things are a real mess so I would be very careful about going over the next couple of months. They really took a big hit!

  2. We are going in Dec. and staying close to town. I would not believe a lot of what you read right now. They are trying to get passengers back on the island as fast a possible. I would bet that the beaches will have tents up instead of buildings for food service and other things. The roads are a big problem right now and getting to these areas . It is going to take more than a couple of months to get things half way decent again. Check on "You Tube" !

  3. Meagans bay was pretty well wiped out ! There are 2 buildings left standing but only shells. The beach as of a week ago was in very bad shape . You can go on You Tube and look and that will give you a pretty good idea ! The real problem will be getting around the island. We will be there in Dec and plan on just hanging in town and seeing some friends that we know. They have been telling us what has been going on and it has not been pretty. The town itself and docks will be in decent shape but do not expect much else! I think the cruise lines our pushing to get $ back into the island a little too quickly. This will be our last port on our cruise so it is no big deal. Have a good time !

  4. We are on Dec 8th Reflection and are diffently going to St. Thomas and Martinique ! It was confirmed by Celebrity on Wed and a e-mail from my T.A. today. Celebrity says that their site will be corrected by Monday with all current sailings. This is the 3rd. change for us and do not really want to go to St. Thomas again [4th time] but St. Croix is in bad shape and still has a curfew at night. Just going to hang out in town ,eat and see some biz friends of ours.

  5. I’m glad at least some voyages have st. Thomas as a replacement port ! We got Nassau, which is aggravating me more and more as I read about it. I live in Florida, the beaches and water won’t be any warmer in Nassau than they are at home in December. It’s not even a Caribbean port . And there isn’t much to do. Not to mention that it changed our sea days around.

We are on the Refelction Dec 8th 10 day and the only change we have is going to St. Thomas again for the 4th time and Martinique which we are happy about. I do not understand why St. Thomas since it is really in bad shape . Everything else is intact which is a good thing. I agree with you on the Nassau port. We were suppose to stay in St. Maartin for 2 days on the orignial cruise schedule. Have a good time and enjoy ! Bob

  6. They are telling everyone that the site will be updated for all ships by Monday morning. They are swamped with all these changes and are working on it night and day right now. Don't forget you are talking about thousands of reservations and everything else that goes with it. They changed our cruise three times now, and I believe they started making the changes and little too fast and not thinking it out better. I don't understand using St. Croix and St. Thomas which are not in very good shape still at the moment !

  7. I would not count on any of the beaches being in good shape ! Getting around the island will be a problem for you guys. We are going in Dec. and will probably stay close to town which is cleaned up a lot. This will be the area that they have been working on. Meagan Bay is really in bad shape with only 2 buildings left standing and the beach in very bad shape!

  8. You have to remember that every sailing is different as far as ports. The ports for every cruise fall on different days and order due to the amount of ships in every port on that day ! They have changed our cruise Dec 8th Reflection 3 times now !

  9. There are a couple of "You Tube " viedo's that have been shot in the last couple of days and Orient Beach clubs are all gone. The only thing you can see are the cement pads that the were built on. One of the clubs had just the roof's laying to the side of the pads. The beach is washed away and all the condo's and stores look like a bomb want off. You are looking at a long time to get that together at this point. If they go bach this next month you will be confined to the Front Street area and the beach in that area. It looks like they are trying to get the money back on the island ASAP by painting a rose picture which I can't blame them for , but tell it like it really is !

  10. In talking to a friend who owns 2 stores there on Front street is in good shape as far as the buildings go and they are working on the beach area. The dock area which he has one store took a good hit but they are getting it together also . The island as a whole is in very bad shape as we all can see. Orient beach is just about gone. The airport is working out of tents and is taking flights. The nicer hotels are down for who knows how long. R.C.C.L. has just tell everyone that they are back this next month. It looks like to me that most people will be around town area and dock area or on the beach. Getting around the island could become tuff for the near future ! I thought that they might put our cruise back on the port list but Celebrity confirmed to us today that we are going to St. Kitts and St. Criox for sure! And St Croix is not in great shape either ! We are just going to enjoy the cruise and let everything fall into place !
