  1. Changes happen yr to yr. I do Long Caribbean and have been first release, last and in the Middle. No permanent set time frame
  2. Interesting, was on there twice last Spring and no issues. Now 35 plus yrs ago on the then very Rustic Labadee it was Bugs galore
  3. Sorry, I'm on a Cruise. Yes, met them few times on the Boston-Florida Repos
  4. Also nothing new, Royal was doing this years ago when I started Cruising on them. This time I'd guess it is here to stay, unless at some point goes electronic only 100%
  5. I figured that was going to happen, not surprised. Years ago was same,
  6. Done that and never effected other leg. Your good
  7. I miss the day when Royal had real name bands on their regular non Chartered Cruises, 30yrs ago on different Cruises I saw The Spinners, The Monkees(minus Davy), Temptations
  8. If your new cruise isnt out yet I'd wait. Though wouldn't count on any $$$ if Royal does Change Stop. What actually seen so far on another Cruise Line, a Port change happened but there was no offer allow Change Cruise or Cancel Cruise w/o penalty and no OBC
  9. Agree, 4 in last month, 14 Cruises in last 11months, all but 2 was emailed/received before I got off Ship at 9-930am. So at times it does not get sent.
  10. "Steel-cut began in June 2021 Cutting for Icon of the Seas"
  11. Yes Common last yr if someone is Quarantined or Sick. Daughter was quarantined 2 days, sinus infection but just in case she had quarantine for 2 days, 2 neg CV tests. We'd bring her back Main Dining, which wasnt easy, 4-5 heavy plates with covers. Good thing there was 3 of us. So if you want eat in Cabin everyday just go WJ and take food back....or get a Suite
  12. Yeah forgot to ask that myself but onboard contractors were running Internet, mattresses and replacing Coolers/Fridges last 3+ wks. Heard lot of metal grinding on port days, not sure where was coming from though
  13. As said Vendor does set Limits on some, age, weight. There are a few I've seen that are really low 65, 70, 75yrs. And yes some these will weight you
  14. Royal Ships do not have self Serve Machines. Though Serenade will have some only for the World Cruise
  15. I heard if you get Norovirus they confine you to the Poop Deck
  16. Nothing new. Even pre-CV over last 10yrs doing longer 10+ nite Cruises I'd see them run out items like Dt Coke. Few times they'd be pouring the Freestyle cup up in WJ from 2lt Bottles they'd PU on one our Stops. Just got off B4B and I went Bar to Bar PU my daily 6 cans Coke Zero, when that ran out I was exhausting Dt Coke for 4weeks. Last yr on Panama Canal Cruise they had 16.9oz plastic Coke Zero bottles they'd PU one our Central American stops, cases of Evian a couple times came to my cabin in 1lt Glass Bottles
  17. Yeah Mom has me take her there in Michigan. Lot cheaper then the other specialty coffees places, guess get what you pay for. Of course with most coffees she drinks its more Sugar then anything else, though never been coffee drinker myself. Took my 11yr old Niece there last yr, asked her what she wanted and she replied, "One Timbit, please" ...Fortunately the Doughnuts here are pretty good, I'll eat them
  18. Agree, have had dozens Ports Changed myself, different reasons inc too many Passengers/Ships that day from inc Engine issues on my Ship or another requiring our slot in that Port. War, Strikes, unfortunately it happens. These on Royal and other lines, just got notice my Holland Ship I Booked in 2022 is leaving from Different Port. Glad I have cancel any reason Hotel and waited little longer then normal to Book Flights
  19. Wish we could at least access all the old posts on this Version of Cruise Critic. Joined in 1997, after switchover in 2000 we all had to rejoin CC. It use to show in order when you did and member number. I didn't sign back up for 5+ months but even then I think then my new number was like #308. About 5-6 yrs ago they removed that page from here
  20. My Kids would hang with the Teens but not in the Club, Grand Daughter does same. Years ago they'd put the Bands on all the Kids at Lifeboat Drill. Now as my GD hasnt gone to Clubs to register then wouldnt get one. Though her parents made sure she had one on first day before she turned 12
  21. Teen Club is more informal, not really all Bracelets like younger ones. Hard tell age by looks, it's hard now with Teens looking like Adults but even 20yrs ago when I Cruised with my 12-14yr old Daughter they always thought she was my Wife
  22. Thank's, was on from Labor Day-24th surprised you didnt. Walk the whole Ship 2 times a day in am and afternoon, Deck 13-2. Always sat up in the left hand Balcony for Shows. Was switching it up, wore my Michigan State University and 101st Air Assault Hoodies, both Black. 95% time wearing Green Cap with USA Flag or US ARMY written on it. Done 10 the usual Boston-Florida Repo's and as said Kids normally lot lower, Sailing to Boston 2010-2020's is typically from Europe, this was new one for me. I missed the C&A get together, Capt did announce to Crew on change over day C&A numbers though I missed total passenger count, did you here what total was? Leaving next week on the 16n Radiance PC Cruise with my Daughter/SIL/Grand Daughter, only second time I Cruised with my Grand Daughter
  23. Done 50+ Sailings on Radiance Class, Cruises of 10-16 nites only one had 50 Kids, average is 20-25 but usually less. Will enjoy this Class/Size long as it's around
  24. Agree, B2B on Radiance Class week of and after Thanksgiving for yrs. On these longer Cruises at most 20-25 Kids the week of Holiday, less week after.
  25. Just got off 3 weeks on Serenade. Was a Pinnacle on at least 2 of my 4 legs and he wore his Badge everyday but would bother the WJ Head's, dragging them over to station to show something they should be aware of or telling them how things should be. Was in there bothering them on at least 8-9 Days just that I was there to see it.
