  1. Yes absolutely. All you need is your passport. I can’t see any sort of checking in document and neither can my TA.
  2. Never had one ourselves but have talked to people who have. Without exception they’ve been on their first Azamara cruise. They had all been offered it out of the blue.
  3. A couple of thoughts - - the date of white night is not known until you board, so booking before you board means you can’t be sure to avoid it - priority boarding is officially for all suite passengers and for all those with a loyalty level of Discoverer or above, so that’s a large number of passengers, much more than 7%, who would might be able to make ‘priority’ dining bookings.
  4. That may be the case - we generally start by either buying a cruise on board and transferring the cruise to our TA, or by buying just the cruise through the TA. Sometimes we later add other elements such as hotels, though rarely flights as we often use air miles and can’t do that through a TA. We’ve been sent the Azamara invoice at the beginning, when we have only bought the cruise.
  5. I think they will charge full price. You’ll need to talk to guest relations once aboard, I think.
  6. My TA’s system automatically includes sending me a copy of the Azamara invoice.
  7. Most other cruise lines have considerably higher passenger numbers than Azamara so they need to allow booking beforehand, Azamara has much smaller numbers, so it’s really a non-issue.
  8. Don’t think you would be assigned one unless you didn’t attempt to make a reservation for one.
  9. I guess I was comparing it with other cruise lines. On HAL the queues were often enormous!
  10. Never very long queues at customer services on Azamara
  11. The Hop on hop off bus is great. Be sure to get off at the Miraflores lock and look around the brilliant canal museum there. The fish market is worth a look too.
  12. I’ve taken screen prints of my booking!
  13. “ This eliminates theburden of waiting in lines after boarding to purchase those items.” You’ll still need to stand in line to reserve your chefs table - they are popular. Also no need to stand in line to buy drinks package, you just ask a server at a bar.
  14. I agree, we’ve never been on Onward & have never seen jugs labelled as water (or anything else for that matter).
  15. We did this itinerary earlier this year and loved it. We did a great excursion in Salvador de Bahia - it was a drumming class. There were only 4 of us and we loved it.
  16. Must say I agree with you. We bring our own Yorkshire Tea bags with us and use the breakfast cards to order fruit juice & tea (just using the hot water), but it’s not the same as making a cup of tea with just boiling water.
  17. I’m sure posters here are right - but you’ve nothing to lose by giving Azamara a ring and asking them.
  18. You pay the full price because their included drinks are not based on value, they are a list. That said if a cocktail can be made with an included spirit, you can ask for them to make it with those spirits & it’ll be free.
  19. Misty autumn day for our walk today. The Humber Bridge just seemed to melt away as we walked underneath it Once the sun pierced through the cloud it became a glorious morning.
  20. The issue is not about what the ship will allow, but what the local immigration and custom services are prepared to do
  21. The issue is that it depends on the customs/immigration authorities in the port & what time they are willing to start work.
  22. We have done it twice in Dubai. Asked them ahead of time and they said probably OK, but need to tell Guest Relations as soon as we get onboard. A lot can depend on local immigration and customs officials. I have heard of people refused this in Lima.
