    @MeganGC1983 I understand missing formal night for the game. We were on a cruise during the world series, so I didn't eat dinner 4 of the nights. Just had food delivered to me in the Hero's sports bar.

    My DW and I love St. Thomas. We did a weeklong vacation after our cruise a couple of years ago. We are going on the Magic in August with the same itinerary as this cruise plus St. Maarten. Looking forward to the adventures. Thanks again for taking us along.

    @MeganGC1983 How long are you in port at St. Thomas? We did St. John on our own. Made sure and got off the ship right away, took a taxi to the ferry. At St. John, took another taxi to Trunk Bay. Had a great time was able to spend 4-5 hours at St. John. Our port time was 8 to 4. Took the 9 am ferry over and the 2 pm ferry back.

    My cruise a couple of months ago was during the World Series. Since I couldn't miss the games, I ended up not going to dinner on 4 of the nights. I ordered food delivery to the Hero's sports bar. Wings and Quesadillas for a fee. I think they were $5 or $6 each plus tip.

    One more thing to add about the timing of the food options. When the buffet is closed there is usually at least one other food option open. either Pizza, the Deli or Guys burgers. late at night you are limited to Pizza or the new late night snack buffet.

    Bacon is served every day in the MDR for breakfast. I have been on 20 Carnival cruises and have yet to encounter a difficult employee. The room attendant does only clean once per day, but you can choose if you want morning or evening service. They tend to push for morning service. I have always been offered bread in the MDR for dinner, so it may just have been the lack of a helper.

    I have done both a Havana Cabana and Havana Interior on the Vista and Panorama. I prefer to save the money and book the Havana interior since the Havana area offers a large area to sit and enjoy outside. The pool and hot tubs are not crowded at all.

    I have been on 20 Carnival Cruises and have not seen the behaviors as others have reported. I have smelled weed on a couple of cruises both out Galveston pre pandemic. Granted, I don't hang out on Lido so I may not have the same experiences as others. By the way, I love the Miracle. Even though it is smaller never feels crowded.

    One other option if the hotel doesn't have printer capabilities is to find a local library. Usually you can print documents for 10 cents each.

    Celebrity allowed us to call ahead and make a reservation with their version on any time dining. That was pre-covid. I am not sure what they do now. On our Vista Cruise the last week of October, I was able to speak to the maitre'd in the morning and make reservations on 2 nights when all 14 of our party wanted to eat together. She gave us a specific time to be in the dining room.

    On the Vista the last week of October the Deli had BLT sandwiches and the MDR had bacon every morning.

    on the Vista last month, Grand Caymen was a 7 am port day. Lido buffet was open at 6. Not sure about MDR.

    14 day Hawaii cruise in the Miracle, I message worked every day. On the 4 day breeze cruise in July I message worked every day. On the Vista last month only worked 2 days.

    I went to the deli on the Vista last month and was able to just get fries.

    Not all of the deli menu is pre made. Some of the items they make when ordered. The steak sandwich is premade.

    We carried on Soda for our grandkids out of Galveston this past July. They opened the box checked the cans and taped it back up.

    This form doesn't require notarization. The few times that I have brought grandkids or friends of my kids, I was not required to show the form.

    they did show the Thursday night prime game on the Vista last month in the sports bar. They also showed the Sunday and Monday night games.

    a month ago on the Vista, my wife ordered omelet with ham and veggies without any issues.

    and some of them are not resorts, especially in the winter, when you can't access the pool either.

    Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate how thorough you are during your reviews. I am now considering NCL and Princess because of your reviews. Carnival should be sending you the free cruise offers because of your influence.

    I am not a drinker, do the plus packages on either line make sense for a non drinker? I don't have any issues with Carnival, however, I think my DW wants to try other lines.

    We had 14 people on our last cruise all linked together prior to the cruise. We all had any time dining. There were 2 nights where we all ate together at the same table. I simply went to the restaurant in the morning and they reserved a time for us. All we had to do was show up. The other nights we selected who was coming to diner and did the any time dining through the app.
