I cruised out of Galveston 2 weeks ago. Did have to walk past the drug dog. Didn't see anyone selected to be checked at random. Interesting, a few of us had a sticker on our checked bags saying they were inspected by the drug dog. None of us had drugs so I think they must check some bags at random.

Several people on our cruise last week either came home with Covid or a viral infection. There is something going around so be careful. My DW came home with Covid. I tested negative and am not sick. My work is very understanding and asked me to work from home all week to be on the safe side.

We live on a lake and one of my granddaughters is scared there are sharks in the lake.

I think the dry dock is fix the propulsion issues.

I agree if you must see a port then a land vacation is the way to go. I was only saying destination cruise because the cruise fare was more than typical amount. I am always aware and not bothered if we miss a port. Only has happened once in my 20 cruises so I have been lucky.

I got my law degree from authors like John Grisham and I agree with @Eli_6 This was not some Caribbean cruise where if you missed a couple of ports $200 obc would be fair. This was a destination cruise. If I had booked this cruise I would have expected more than $200 because of the cruise fare being higher. I think I have met a lot of people named Dunning Krueger in my life.

Unfortunately there was a paradigm shift in society about 25 years ago when parents started defending their kids over teachers and other authority figures no matter what. Now for the most part kids are out of control because how dare you or I speak to someone's child. On our cruise in July on the Breeze we saw a lot of teenagers running wild up and down the stairs and in the halls late at night.

Just tell them you have a family emergency and need to disembark.

I wonder why Princess and Carnival treat the drink packages differently on embarkation from Galveston.

I never wear the wrist band as I don't like wearing anything on my wrist. My sail and sign card had the Havana symbol printed on it and I would just show the attendant my card.

We gave ours to our grandkids. They loved the fanny pack. 10 and 8 years old.

It doesn't always work, however on my last few cruises it worked fine. Sometimes it will kick you off the carnival wifi and the messaging will stop working. When you notice your text are in green you need to shut your phone off and restart. Text will only work when it is blue.

That is why there must be more to the story. They must have had THC Gummies and not CBD gummies. How could a drug dog alert to CBD with .03 % THC.

Yeah I wonder if they were really THC gummies or there is more to the story. I have read others say on here that they take their CBD gummies on every cruise.

Did they open both sides to the all inclusive guests? They used to have a pay as you go side in front of the massage area, but when I was there in July it was all inclusive on both sides.

Can the dogs even detect CBD if it doesn't have THC? Must have been a very large amount.
