Wow what a fabulous start. May I ask if you get chance can you ask for the current passenger count on the 19th January 2024. Would be useful to get an indication of how full the ship will be. Enjoy every minute we now can’t wait to see her for ourselves

Heike previously worked for Azamara as an extremely competent and approachable Hotel Director. She is now one of the General Managers on Explora and currently onboard. Very favourable reports of both her interaction with guests and subsequent action taken to both address and resolve many of the guests concerns. A very wise hire for Explora

I will be onboard from January 19th and will try my best to report on an ongoing blog as others have done to help and inform others on here but if anyone wants a quick dip in and out with information or questions then maybe they could do that on either dipping in to a blog or a universal type thread? Thanks again to all those who so far have had the commitment using their precious onboard time to inform others, much appreciated

On another cruise line there is a thread that people can pose questions or obtain current information from those onboard who are willing to participate as titled above. Is this something we could add on the Explora threads as an ongoing source of information?

So glad you had an amazing cruise with only minor hiccups. Your posts have been invaluable for our upcoming Caribbean cruise on Explora in January . Only downside is the wonderful Heike is leaving the ship on our embarkation day. We were looking forward to seeing her. I suppose that means we shall have to see if we can book again 🙏 Safe flight home

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. On Onward we had these different offerings mostly pre prepared and then heated. Believe me I love tasty spicy and varied dishes but the expected taste and flavour just wasn’t there on most of these dishes. Usually I’m what you would call an Azamara cheerleader and I’m disappointed with both Windows and Discoveries on our recent cruise.

We just disembarked the cruise prior to yours. we have sailed with Azamara over 20 times and this cruise in our opinion was by far the worse regarding standard of the food. The offerings at Windows were very repetitive and poor quality. Gone are the additions of a daily carving roast. Seafood overcooked and tasteless. Service was good but didn’t make up for the poor offerings. One silver lining was Fevertree was always available so I could drown my disappointment with a G&T! The resident band East pearl were excellent as well. Hope your cruise overall is a better experience

Thinking of taking a bus from Hamilton to Gibbs Hill lighthouse later this month when we arrive in Hamilton on Azamara Onward. Maybe if the weather is kind could visit one of the beaches on the south coast afterwards. Can we also combine it with a part railway walk .? Any thoughts or tips welcome

Not only do I not have 12 suitcases I don’t have enough clothes, shoes etc to even fill them if I did! Packing and unpacking on return just the one is enough just to keep me sane😉

Hi please could you tell me which suite you were in when you had the issue with smoke emanating from the Crema cafe. We shall be in 6026 directly above this area I believe, and someone else has also reported this problem Many thanks
