I thought it was just our bad luck, but it’s typically after visiting Malaga, so the timing never works out! 😥
And typically after a full meal and a few drinks, we have not set our alarm.
Look into a tour of Rabat, the capital city.
It’s cleaner and safer and has numerous interesting sights, including the President’s palace, mausoleums, a walk through the casbah, a local meal, etc.
It was a very enjoyable day.
And how would you know how long the machine has been stopped??
I doubt many folks leave and come back after 15 minutes (is that an “unacceptable” period of time?) to see if the machine has been emptied.
One can try to rationalize many “me first” behaviors these days.
The only issue is timing.
Folks are heartless if your laundry finishes and you don’t immediately put it in the drier. They’ll take you wet clothes out and place them on the counter.
so do your laundry at the most inconvenient time you can tolerate - think 3AM. 😴🥱
Viking offered an Acropolis/ Acropolis museum on day 2.
It ended at the Plaka district, so you could just break away then and make your own way back to the hotel.

Last month, our D and SIL were above Torshavn on the Orion.
she went to guest services at 10:30 PM the first night and told them the noise was unbearable. They moved them to an aft-facing balcony the next day.
The next day they were anxious to have them vacate the room so they could give it to the local pilot coming onboard.
There are only 10 cabins on the 8001 corridor, and absolutely no advantage for anyone else to use that corridor, so the use of the door is very infrequent.
