  1. I agree with @tallnthensome - Check other lines, NCL has been pretty clear they aren't going to lower prices to fill cabins and then they came out and acknowledged they intend to nickle and dime every last coin out of you on board.
  2. I second the recommendation to hit the ports of calls forums. Way more information there than you will get here. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/456-caribbean/
  3. What is nasty about it? What exactly is it, I don't know but assumed it was a sanitizer.
  4. I think NCL would agree here and acknowledge that is their intention. Agreed. Some people just want their pizza to be edible. 😉
  5. Who knew one might learn something about cars on CC? I had no idea they were selling cars with no spares and apparently some don't even have a designed in option for one. I am buying a new truck as I write this and noticed on the sticker it mentioned "full size spare" which I don't recall seeing on stickers in the past. Now I know why it was there, it's an important thing to have an many no longer have em. My DW and DD both have Subarus purchased in last couple years, I need to now see if they actually have spares or not, I'm worried what I am going to find.
  6. Seems to me that if you enjoy hanging out in spa, then there wouldn't be need for Vibe. But Vibe is different (outside vs in, it's own bar) so I can also imagine liking both.
  7. Have you talked to the folks at tripinsurancestore.com? Call them, Steve will probably answer the phone, explain what you are hoping for and he'll point you in right direction.
  8. These folks were rescued in international waters. I'm pretty sure US Border Patrol is not going to want them to land in Miami (maybe I am mistaken), does anyone know what the process/procedure is from here?
  9. This is NCL we're talking about. Today of course, today is when it starts.
  10. To this day seeing people wearing hats inside while sitting at a table eating dinner still bothers me. I guess I have to blame my parents for that being so well engrained in my psyche.
  11. The entire schedule for the ship is likely slipping due to supply chain constraints right now, today. Schedule is slipping, so, they know it will be late. I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the last slip before this thing actually sails with passengers.
  12. Right, Dockers is a sub brand of Levi Strauss. In addition to the aforementioned "chinos" or "khakis" they make shoes, belts, and other forms of what is often referred to as "business casual" apparel.
  13. a 12oz cup with some ice would be a reasonable "small". My last cruise on the Bliss in 2018, they were using 10oz cups that they would fill to the brim with ice. You'd be luck if you got 5 oz of soda, as witnessed when one can was used to fill two drinks and the bartender didn't throw the can away indicating there was still more soda in it. (Yes, I could ask them to no put so much ice and did so when I remembered)
  14. I think most of us are more concerned about you coming for coffee in your undies than about your sailor mouth 🙂 🙂😉
  15. I think if you understand NCLs target demographic, there are far more unvaccinated who want to return to cruising than there is vaccinated but reluctant. Your proposal might make sense for a high end line but not a low end line like NCL.
  16. Now those are fighting words right there...
  17. It really just $50 off the first passenger. I suppose if both passengers go on the same tour it's effectively $25 pp, but, formally it's $50 off the first.
  18. It really isn't different in the specific context here (reminder: I replied to the comment about "Americans are suckers for a good scam, bottled water being one of the largest"). I suspect the people of Flint were told many times that the water was safe. Turns out it wasn't. At my home, I have confidence in the water system but when I am elsewhere not so much. I take exception to being referred to as scammed because I choose to drink bottled water when not at my home.
  19. Whether that picture causes "alarm" is up to the reader. I look at that picture as informational and a reminder that you really don't know where your water has been before it comes out the tap.
  20. Yeah, particularly those folks in Flint MI. They're real suckers.
  21. Then someone ought to tell NCL that next time they advertise including "free prepaid gratuities" in the FAS offers. The DSC is a gratuity when it helps their marketing but a service charge any other time. Typical BS from NCL.
  22. you might want to read more carefully, UKStages said the same thing, not the opposite. Ownership of property is irrelevant in this discussion of industry standard practices.
  23. I think many if not most kids that drink soda would easily consume 4+ sodas per day. Especially when you factor in just how ridiculously small they are.
  24. I'm sure this is part of the problem. I think it's well understood that similar requirements impacted similar businesses in the US. While staffing a new ship doesn't help, this isn't the first time they've added a ship and they didn't have these problem with the other ships because of the new one.
  25. We've never dined outside at the specialty restaurants on NCL or any of the other lines. You sound as if you've done it before. Has wind ever been a problem? Do you tend to eat early or late?
