  1. Today's sunrise is from one year ago today from the school administration building across the street from me: Roy
  2. @luvteaching so sorry to hear this. Prayers that he recovers or if not has a peaceful departure for heaven, although some of the other dailyite stories sound encouraging. Roy
  3. Best wishes @kazu on the anniversary of your marriage. Roy
  4. Happy Heavenly Birthday Jose, and Happy Birthday @Sharon in AZ, and @StLouisCruisers DD. Roy
  5. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Dixie, and Ann. A warmer but wet Saturday here. I have a neighbor that owns a food truck (well, actually a food trailer) that's often parked on my street. I'll pass on the other 2 days as well as the quote. I can't really understood Picaso although he was a true master. Not really sure about the meal but today I don't have an alternative. Still doing post-op meds for almost another week but very little pain. Roy
  6. @Oceansaway17 do you drive I-95 through Philadelphia to get to Bayonne? I always thought P&O was almost trying to discourage Americans from booking but it looks like that is changing. It looks like they are a lot more friendly to the idea but it's apparently based on a partnership that I can't mention on Cruise Critic. Roy
  7. Thank you EVERYONE. @Oceansaway17 enjoy the Liberty. The cake was not from Wegmans; I got it yesterday at Giant. Roy
  8. I guess that's a wrap for the week. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  9. Wonder what happened to Quantum today. Roy
  10. I'd almost forgot. Volendam really early today. Roy
  11. I missed yesterday due to a dental obligation and have no sunrise for June 23. This photo is from a year ago yesterday on my morning walk in my neighborhood: Roy

  13. Happy Friday. Thank you to Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Dixie, and Ann as well as the birthday wishes (so far, as I type) from @dobiemom and @cat shepard.. Best wishes for our Widow dailyites. I think I'll take a pass on pink, and yesterday was my day to let of of a tooth (minimal pain so far). I love today's quote but have not been to Grundarfjordur. I'll pass on the bass. My obvious alternative today is birthday cake. Off to Wegmans soon. Roy
  14. Back from the dentist. Mostly ok but a little bit of bleeding (maybe less than expected) and still too numb to start post-op medication. Roy
  15. This is probably the best view I will get today and others may not do much better either. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  16. Yup. She was pretty far away when I looked this morning but apparently just giving a wide berth for Symphony's move. Roy
  17. Is Noordam to the right of the photo now? Just a quick peek between meeting and Dentist so I can't see much. Roy
  18. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Dixie, and Ann. Welcome back Joy. I'll pass on the eclair and onion rings but celebrate Rainforests. Rodney Dangerfield sure has a way with quips. Loved Montevideo, been there 4 times (Crystal Symphony 2016, Crystal Serenity 2017, Zaandam 2017, and Prinsendam 2019. A very popular port on South American cruises and a very nice one. Establishment of an Observatory in Greenwich was a great day in history. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Pinnacle Burger and Sorbet, my lunch on MS Prinsendam May 31, 2015. Today I attain age 80 (birthday tomorrow) and lose a molar. It is chilly and rainy and I hope not to need to be out at the worst times. I can't really pamper myself as I need to be at my church twice, morning for a teaching session on our AV system and again tonight to go over Sunday's service. Roy
  19. Serenity has left drydock; I assume most likely for sea trials. Roy
  20. Renaissance (former Maasdam) has left Brest and AIS has her headed for LeHavre. Roy
  21. I don't know if this qualifies as additional details but Serenity is out of Drydock and it appears Symphony may be headed in. Roy
  22. I'm pretty sure these planes just fly in for the cruise season and go to lodges and glaciers either landing or scenic viewing. I suspect there are either amphibious airplanes or float planes that serve remote communities but they are located closer to the airport which is several miles north of town. Roy
