  1. Bon Voyage @Heartgrove, @Overhead Fred, and @Vict0riann. Roy
  2. Sorry, it's just the sailaway. The thread is just about dead now. Roy
  3. Sunday maps: Zaandam is the circle above the Z, Roy
  4. While I stopped watching the webcam was still on. I just heard the Symphony's bellows from the kitchen. Roy
  5. I don't think so. That's what "foreign" is. Marginally different continents but there are some strange exceptions, and I think some places that may be possessions of another country may have an impact. I was on the Crystal Northwest passage cruise and places like Pond Inlet did not count even though they were far from the US but apparently Greenland did. Not sure about Iceland but may be because Greenland is owned by Denmark. Roy
  6. Nice toots and closeups. Thanks Leanne, Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  7. Today's sunrise is from my 2014 Amsterdam world cruise segment, Cape Town to Fort Lauderdale, getting me back home from a Crystal Serenity world cruise segment. April 6 was a sea day from Walvis Bay to St. Helena: Roy

  9. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Ann, Dixie, and Debbie. I’ll celebrate awareness of drowsy driving but pass on the other two days. I like the quote. I have not been to Niigata. My curiosity was provoked and I got curios looking at the port schedule. The only ship listed I have been on is the Silver Whisper many years ago on a Suez canal cruise. There are 3 BHB ships I have not sailed, Noordam, Zuiderdam, and Nieuw Amsterdam. I have had cruises booked on all 3 but cancelled due to covid and my pneumonia bout last year. I have sailed all the other current ships, all the R & S class as well as Prinsendam and Rotterdam V. I don’t have an air fryer. My alternative is Honey Pineapple, Rack of Lamb, and Black Forest Cake as served on MS Zaandam April 6. 2017: Back from my walk. Will head for the fire house a bit early this afternoon and will stop at the post office to mail what I hope will be the last check for my Florida hospital stay last November. Roy
  10. Almost slept through it. Great toots. Thanks Dave, Leanne, and fellow addicts. Roy
  11. Today's sunrise is from a 2013 Queen Elizabeth transatlantic New York to Southhampton. April 15 was the penultimate sea day before reaching Southampton: Roy

  14. Welcome home @GTVCRUISER Bon Voyage @lobsternight. Happy Birthday @NextOne, Roy
  15. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. I like all 3 of today’s days, and enjoy Adams’ brand of humor. I visited Bergen just once, Prinsendam in 2011. I love all parks, and Berkenhead sounds like a great part. Kutos to Mr Paxton. I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is African Spring Bok as served on MS Amsterdam. Sadly it is from before the days when I started taking food photos. Off fairly soon for my walk and echocardiogram. Good to see Oosterdam in Fort Lauderdale. Roy
  16. A semi-related question. As far as I know most if not all container ships have the bridge aft with just a few containers behind. Is there a reason the bride could be forward so a ship could get under certain bridges with a few less containers than normal (I sailed a container ship Montreal to Europe and had a big picture window one deck below the bridge with a panoramic view of two containers). Thanks Roy
  17. Yet another sunrise from my 2018 Crystal World Cruise. On April 5 Crystal Symphony visited Easter Island: Roy

  19. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Dixie, and Ann for the ALMOST Friday reports. Jeeps have their uses but are not good everyday vehicles. MLK Jr is surely resting peacefully in heaven. Vitamin C is important. I like the quote today but have not been to Galway. A great day in US History. I don't really do leftovers as I plan my meals and make just enough for myself unless pre-dividing frozen goods into manageable portions qualifies as leftovers. My alternative is Chilled Pear, Cucumber, and Melon Gazpacho, Oven Roasted Chicken, and Key Lime Pie A la Mode as served on MS Zaandam April 4, 2017. I I'm not sure how regularly I'll be posting the next few days as I have church AV practice this evening, echocardiogram tomorrow morning, and meet the cardiologist Monday. Roy
