  1. Just to share the datapoint, when was the earliest you COULD leave the ship, 7am or 745am?
  2. Life is short, wrinkle free shirts can be had very cheap...TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross etc sell wrinkle free button downs for under $20 and in some cases under $10. Even logoed shirts like Polo and Lacoste sell wrinkle free but would obviously be far more expensive If you don't want to do that, hot shower, wrinkle release and a hair dryer are what many cruisers swear by (I have wrinkle free shirts) You cannot bring an iron Edit to add, I travel at least twice a month and am on team roll. I've tried cubes and they're just not for me
  3. There are a few Berths all but two sailings (4/1 and 4/29) use the regular Berth 93. Assuming you're cleared on time, they'll let you off at 7am and you can use the elevator. If you one of those two sailings below, I believe they don't allow self-carry and you have to be bused which obviously adds more time. No Global lines to my knowledge but it's fast as it's face recognition. I've sailed from Port Everglades many times last year from multiple terminals including this past December and have NEVER seen any Global signage or any sort of dedicated global line. If anyone has, please share the terminal and month and year as I'm guessing it may have been active pre-covid but never came back. At the port in San Pedro and in Port Everglades, it's the exact same process, everyone lines up single file than a port worker will guide you to an open facial recognition machine...Looks like below, no Global lines on either side Shouldn't have a problem GETTING an Uber/Lyft however some have reported a huge surge in pricing but from what I gather they didn't self carry and are trying to call around 9am. Been a few times we always self carry off, always hailed an uber no later than 745am and did not experience any major surge pricing
  4. Thanks. I know the non-expedition ships fares went up but seeing your post just made me wonder how much they've increased for 2023...Cheapest rates for any expedition ship was just a tick under $600/night PP before fees and taxes
  5. Can't seem to find them in my eDOC or X's FAQs. Looking for info such as overall amount (12? 20?), size limitations (12oz? 16oz?), metal cans(?) and plastic bottle(s)? Under FAQs it does say the following but no mention of specifics: Guests are only permitted to bring alcohol onboard under the following circumstances 1.) Embarkation day when each guest is permitted to bring onboard with them up to two (2) bottles of wine (which are subject to a corkage fee) per guest. A corkage fee does not apply to guests with the Classic Beverage Package or Premium Beverage Package. Security may inspect containers (including water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, canteens, etc.) at any time and will dispose of alcohol concealed in such container.
  6. Might be able to do a back to back with different itineraries on X cheaper than you can do one of those
  7. Just checked the see how much they were charging for the Flora, cheapest is $959/night before fees and taxes 🤯
  8. I think a blanket question could be why we’re there so many passenger experience cuts and new fees but there weren’t any improvements? One example…When RCI introduced the additional lobster tail fee they changed the lobster from spiny to more desirable Maine but X did not despite charging the exact same fee
  9. Post a screenshot, we can’t see what you’re seeing; a pic is worth a thousand words
  10. They should still set the bed for turndown which will remake the bed if required and rearranges the pillows
  11. Do Eden performances (NOT musicians/bands) happen once a night?
  12. VV's public "excuse" for such a small pool is you'll be going to ports with beaches so you don't need a huge pool. We've met swingers even on X, while we're not interested and it makes us feel awkward after, we wouldn't blacklist an entire cruise line for it; we plan on eventually giving VV a shot
  13. That would make logical sense to do that decades ago but that isn't the case for whatever reason. While officers or staff (think entertainers) can dine in the buffet on the front end, the rest of the crew has their own mess hall https://crew-center.com/cafe-365-crew-mess-celebrity-edge
  14. They normally leave a post card at some point during sailing but on the Solstice earlier this month, I did not receive one, went to future cruises and I was on the list for a comped cruise. What they told me they generally receive the gamblers list who are eligible for free/reduced cruises at some point on day 2 (the day after embarkation day) and you don't need to wait for the post card to book
  15. Makes sense; if there's even room to dock the marina is very busy with small tour and fishing boats, would make far more sense to send an emergency boat to the ship then to halt all boat traffic so a ship can dock
  16. Both cruisehive and whatsinport state ships will only tender while in cabo...Perhaps they made an exception due to medical emergency or you're confusing it with another port?
  17. I had premium. It's rarely broke 3mpbs up/down but it's better in the past when it was like .5 and you couldn't do anything. I had no problem facetiming or watching youtube videos without buffering but I didn't try down/up loading anything
  18. No idea. Perhaps only the ships that stay the night are allowed at their pier?
  19. The big problem IMO is that X's cost cutting seems incredibly lazy with only cutbacks without any improvements. The smarter companies bundle passenger decreases with some INCREASES. When RCI introduced the $16.95 additional lobster tail fee, they changed from the cheaper/less desirable Spiny lobster to a Maine lobster tail. Often the way these things work is the exec's would tell the top fo the F&B team their F&B budget is getting cut by 10%, then to submit your new F&B budget proposal. In this case it seems like they opened an excel spreadsheet, sorted all their food items by the most expensive items, left the lobster and when axed the next ten most expensive items. With all these cutbacks we the passengers gained absolutely nothing
  20. They didn't have tender tickets, both those in suites and those with CC status are escorted on. Otherwise they had a first come first serve line on deck 3 and you board the tender from deck 2. I would imagine if you get in line at 850am you'll be on the first one. Tender ride itself is about 10mins but it takes time to load people on and get people off
  21. Pretty much agree except that X cares about AQ as Blu food quality is the same as the MDR yet you get an expanded menu, ability to order off the MDR and a smaller dining venue. Many have said Virgin has the best food and that's in part to everything being cooked to order and therefore as a bonus you get less food waste. RCL and newer CCL ship do have better food...Was recently on CCL's newest ship, for free you get Guys Burgers, Guys BBQ, Shaqs big chicken, ChiBang (mexican and Asian), the ability to order for an upcharge a good steak and/or lobster and of course the infamous carnival melting cake
  22. Unlike other lines, I do wish X had the upcharge option to order surf and turf in the MDR. For non-suite guests, it's near impossible to book a specialty restaurant and get a reservation same day
  23. Not sure how review the casino, mirrored any other casino visit. Crew/Host was friendly, it did seem a bit more dead Big tip is if you want a buffet lunch, try to get there at 1150am; put something down on a window table and head to the food station as many will be just starting to open
  24. I believe the chaos was because we arrive the tender port at 7am and the "early risers" does open at 6am but the full breakfast opens at 630am funneling everyone in around 630am Seen most of the shows before as X has the same production shows, like Broken Strings, Rock City, etc., fleet wide (perhaps they are different on the E-Class). Shows were done as well as any other sailing. There wasn't a magician on this one but believe there usually is. We had a comedian on the first night and a musical on all other nights
