Valid. I took what they said "we don't have any drink package" at face value but it is indeed possible they have it and didn't realize it
-
If you decide to book specialty restaurants, definitely book the Eden
-
-
Casino/BCC bookings do not include the drink package (unless you're a super high roller) and there was a time when you could book any stateroom as a sail only
-
100% agree. Cruising and AI land resorts are two entirely different experiences each with their own pros and cons
-
You're missing the point of cherry picking numbers is "pointless", this includes selecting an Apex sailing date first and then comparing it to a hotel the same week as that's not how most people vacation plan. The majority vacation plan by thinking "let's book a sailing in the summer" which gives them the flexibility to select a lower fared sailing. Cruising is a different experience for an AI resort and therefore there won't be an apples to apples comparison. However, when it comes to price, the overwhelming majority of the time you'll find an AI resorts for less than sailing on the Apex
-
You cherry picked an expensive hotel during an expensive week to prove your point...I'll cherry pick an inexpensive week at the same hotel...Both our cherrypicked datapoints are pointless and well, ridiculous as Marco Island isn't visited by cruise ships You were talking about the Apex, which is foreign flagged and visiting Caribbean ports. Therefore a more "apples to apples" comparison to the Apex vs land resort would be an all inclusive located on a Caribbean location; if you do your research and have flexibility with your dates you can find AI land resorts for under $150/night. Raise your budget and you're able to elevate your accommodations. Airfare may be more expensive by a few hundred for some but those of us who would fly from the west coast would have simular airfare and flight time

It may be ship specific, been on the Solstice twice since starlink, had premium both times, it rarely went over 3.0mbps down or up, folks on the Beyond are posting speeds of 25+

I thought the same that I'd have no problem while in France and had positive experiences in Paris and costal France...It all changed when we visited a rural gas station on the way from Paris to Honfleur along with other stops along the way. There's exception yet the general rule of thumb is the more rural you get the more anti-American they can be. Never was anything dangerous, they'll be friendly to a local but rude to an American Anyways, X still has ships that make a port call in Tahiti usually when going from North America to NZ/Australia and vice versa
-
Good call, I never even thought to recommend them because I live nearby so go home and not to the airport. Should be around $50 and its really nice to have a driver there waiting for you than calling an uber/lyft, who could possibly take 20mins, possibly cancel and when they arrive, hope they park somewhat near you
-
Check the app's MDR menu, see if a crab cake app or lobster tail appears...Actually, this is assuming X is still doing lobster on these short sailings

While there 13 Caribbean places are their own countries, the majority are owned by other countries... The "OFFICIAL" 13 Countries in the Caribbean: Antigua and Barbuda Bahamas Barbados Cuba Dominica Dominican Republic Grenada Haiti Saint Kitts and Nevis Jamaica Saint Lucia Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Trinidad and Tobago Caribbean places that are officially NOT independent countries: Anguilla (British overseas territory) Aruba (Constituent kingdom, Netherlands) Bonaire (Special municipality, Netherlands) British Virgin Islands (British overseas territory) Cayman Islands (British overseas territory) Curaçao (Constituent kingdom, Netherlands) Federal Dependencies of Venezuela (Territories, Venezuela) Guadeloupe (Overseas department, France) Martinique (Overseas department, France) Montserrat (British overseas territory) Navassa Island (Uninhabited territory, United States) Nueva Esparta (State, Venezuela) Puerto Rico (Commonwealth, United States) Saba (Special municipality, Netherlands) San Andrés and Providencia (Department, Colombia) Saint Barthélemy (Overseas collectivity, France) Saint Martin (Overseas collectivity, France) Sint Eustatius (Special municipality, Netherlands) Sint Maarten (Constituent kingdom, Netherlands) Turks and Caicos Islands (British overseas territory) United States Virgin Islands (Territory, United States)
-
And most can be accessed by a ferry while the X ship is port at a neighboring island; I understand that isn't the same but if you goal is for whatever reason step on as many major Caribbean islands as you can, you can take ferries to the last four: St Martin to Anguilla St Martin to St Barths Antigua to Barbuda Antigua to Monserrat
-
Very true and I believe X only stops there on Sundays when most of the businesses are closed. In mainland France it's generally the same outside of Paris. On the other hand, French Polynesia like Tahiti are some of the friendliest people I've ever met, random strangers go out of their way to be helpful and aren't expecting a tip
-
Never personally experienced it, I just read they have to bus you from the ship to a terminal and therefore you cannot self-carry, have to put you luggage out the night before. I've never experienced surged pricing but we carried off
-
Thanks for replying. I checked my Uber on my last sailing, called it at 7:11am. If you're waiting in line they'll let you off way earlier as it can take time a lot of time for whatever reason before the PA announcement is made. This is also true while in port

It's super easy to connect, generally do it first thing when getting to the room 1) go to login.com on your phone 2) create an account 3) populate a few fields including the SeaPass folio number 4) create an user name and a 4-digit pin 5) experience issues? Go to the internet manager Once complete, there are a few settings you can use including airplane mode which also keeps your battery from draining less For an iPhone: 1) airplane mode on 2) wifi on 3) settings < wifi < scroll down < set "Auto-Join Hotspot" to "Automatic" 4) settings < wifi < select the blue "i" icon to the X wifi network and "Auto-Join"
