  1. Had the Eden cookies in July 2021 on the Edge and they were fantastic, had them this past May on the Beyond and they were completely different as they were just okay yet better than the free cookies they offer. Their "brownies" were like fudge, which could be good or bad but the surprising star of the show was chocolate cake. I find X's baked desserts below average as they're very bland and many have lots of gelatin for some reason but this cake was full of chocolate flavor
  2. Good point yet I'll just add that a lot of folks want the unlimited wifi
  3. If you want no more than 3-4 drinks a day, maybe that's accurate yet it isn't nor should be pitched as an one size fits all. Additionally, if you're Elite or above, you have the access to the free happy hour which makes this a bit more complex
  4. My WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) based on them asking if RCI folks if they would pay for pizza is they have a goal to charge for nearly EVERYTHING other than the buffet, basic foods in the MDR, the use of the pool and gym. Everything else, whether an attraction/experience or food will be for a fee
  5. With Basic, accessing CC was always an issue even before starlink. CC works fine with premium even pre-starlink
  6. Honor system pool towels replaced with a check in/out towel station Free CaB desserts replaced by for a fee desserts Free priority boarding replaced by a for a fee priority boarding
  7. The problem isn't that people are intentionally creating multiple threads, its that they're lazy and lie that they searched (when they didn't) which has always been a problem on any forum You can start any thread with "I searched and didn't find anything" and one person did just that about the cookies yesterday. It only takes a few second to type "cookie" into the search box
  8. I wasn't a huge fan mainly because it tasted like they use the same cookie dough as the free buffet cookies and just regular buffet ice cream
  9. I've noticed a lot more DJs stationed by the martini bar on the M/S class
  10. Following in RCI's footsteps, Cafe al Bacio being replaced by:
  11. I WISH someone posted a pic of the MDR pilot menu's double cheeseburger. The FB group was going (ahem) "nuts about" the double cheeseburger but no one posted a pic and X quietly removed it from the menu presumably due to all the fuss
  12. In X's defense, they correctly lower expectations by using the term "relaxed luxury"
  13. It was ten, $450 for $500 in promo chips, however I checked three sailings on different ships and none offer it. FYI, I was told by the pitboss they don't rate the promo chips yet if one's bankroll is only the $500 promo chips, they wouldn't care about how they're rated
  14. They'll probably ultimately charge for all desserts at CaB and perhaps move them all over to Gelato station on the M/S class. While that's disappointing, so are the desserts at CaB (so bland, not worth the calories) 😅 The cookies appear to be a better version of the cookies that are free, perhaps X will produce descent quality desserts if they charge. However, that has its own set of problems because like all cruise lines, the price will continually increase and the product, in this case the dessert recipes, will be continually be cheapened
  15. I don't think it'll be too bad for them as they'd be used to those who wrongly assume the gelato is free and I don't recall any sign that lists the gelato price. At least the price is listed for the cookie
  16. We found most seating surprisingly uncomfortable but one doesn't have to sit. These chairs are too low and the sofa cushion you sit on is too deep and apparently made for those are who 6'6 and taller. Lastly, if you're social, the seating is arranged in a way to keep groups together making it difficult to talk to a fellow social cruiser

  18. Just adding while the auto manufacture monthly subscription concept may be new, its premise isn't. Auto manufactures have had planned obsolescence, maintenance and offer annual updated map navigation DVDs
  19. With the direction cutbacks are going, if you want to eat on a cruise ship you're going to need to bring along one of these...
  20. Fingers crossed your itinerary isn't updated to include the Panama canal and Coco Cay
