  1. Yes , that is what we ended up with also after being displaced from our preferred Deck 6 Forward Sheltered Balcony cabin.
  2. Deck 6 forward fire doors were closed between elevators A + B , with do not enter signs for our 7/01 cruise . Imagine Deck 5 + 4 forward had fire doors closed also. Not Deck 8 at all.
  3. I don’t know how anyone can “ignor the mask requirements” as aboard the QM2 last week , I was quickly reminded by the crew whenever I forgot to put it on after eating, coming indoors , etc. .
  4. Just got off yesterday also. Found the service just fine although training going on. Bar service no problem for us beer people. Just a few big things ( 2 elevators , terrace pool) closed the entire 7 night cruise for maintenance that was not happening , along with the waterfall & several water jets in the Spa pool. Of course the rust which could be expected on a 20 year old ship. A couple of good shows , food was good in Brittania and even better on Bamboo Night at the Kings Court Alternative and the Verandah. Been on several of these Independence Day cruises but nothing close to the celebration put on by the QM2 on Deck13 that night . All in all a good cruise until the final night. Despite folowing the onboard Mask Rules , 4 Vac's , we both came home with Covid19 .(I'm convinced Masks don't help.
  5. Having same experience as you . Seems like a lot of training going on. Got here 10:30 and the first document check right away . 2 more doc checks . Been seated in the pre boarding area almost 1pm . General. Boarding still not started ☹️
  6. Seems no other cruise line has returned to masking indoors . It is time that we accept Covid will be around long time and rely on up to date vaccines .
  7. Hard to copy the whole message but basically it said if you wish to reschedule contact your TA or several phone numbers depending on country booked from .
  8. Just received the anticipated Masks Required indoors message for tomorows sailing . Options to reschedule included in the email. Kind of late notice , not happy.
  9. Single or multi-day passes. 1 day $35, 3 days $70, 5 days $120, 10 days $190, 20 days $285.
  10. I don’t know ? Suspect it will be . 2hrs is fine but if you have to book your sessions in advance that may be a pain. 2019 it was $105 for 7 days ☹️ Got the prices from the Cunard website . Will find out more when we board next week.
  11. Single or multi-day passes. 1 day $35, 3 days $70, 5 days $120, 10 days $190, 20 days $285.
  12. One positive for resolution, TA's especially Top Producers for a cruise line , often have contacts that the guests have no access to.
  13. I have asked Cunard Customer Service questions on the Cunard website . Received an auto response "we will get back to you? Never happens !
  14. If you are worried about the internet onboard , you will have lots of chances @ Boston well within the 72 hr limit on this cruise 😉
  15. Diamond members , booked very early , completed the online boarding stuff today as soon as it was available. Got a 14:30 boarding time ? What do you have to do to get a decent boading time ??? And how rigid on boarding times are they in Brooklyn
  16. If you stay in or near the Old Town it is an easy walk to the QM2 .
  17. The shares must be in your name (not just part of any fund) on the brokerage account monthly statement. Print the statement page that list CCL add your booking # sailing date and mail it .
  18. We have seen them on most CA/NE cruises summer and fall. Mostly just waterspouts and an occasional tail. Never close to the ship though.
  19. Other than the Grills , dinning on Cunard is very much like other cruise lines but without a bookable Open Dining choice.
  20. Not everyone enjoys being herded into Britannia at one time . Open seating can be done easily on the QM2 by splitting the upper/lower Britannia , perhaps during Early Dining also.? Would certainly reduce the pre-dinner drink crowds in the lounges. Open seating is very popular on other cruise lines .
  21. Cunard Complete Air provides 1 way Transatlantic flight choices at very reasonable fares for US bookings.
  22. This one is not a staffing issue , but a area of cabins being reserved for potential Covid isolation.
  23. Yes ,POLAR is the TA's booking system for several cruise lines. Cunard did not notify me of my cabin change (incidentally marked "do not Upgrade") My TA saw the cabin change when going over his Group on this sailing. Then saw the sudden unavailability of fwd in-hull balconies.
  24. July 1 , 2022 QM2 7 nighter . Just had our cabin changed from a BZ (fwd on deck 6) to a BY (aft on deck 6). Per POLAR , all fwd in-hull balconies (cat BZ) on Deck 4,5,6 now no longer available, that were available just 2 days ago. Cunard seems to be setting them aside for covid.
