  1. On my last cruise I gambled exactly $50, it was gone in about 60 seconds. (Ish) I was done at that point. When I got back I got an offer for basically an inside room to Mexican riviera for just fees\taxes, and $200 OBC. I always get the offers, hubby doesn’t. I am not a big gambler. I gamble a Few dollars a day, and last couple previous cruises I walked away with a pretty good chunk of money. I don’t know why, I’m not complaining, but they are always casino offers.
  2. It’s a good ending to a cruise, we enjoyed it. 🐊
  3. I put $50 in a slot on my last cruise, (July Spirit Alaska,) and came home to an offer of a VERY cheap cruise to Mexican Rivera that I couldn’t pass up. Motel 6 cost more! Also cruised NCL for 40th anniversary to Alaska, which had been planned precovid, very expensive cruise. Almost 4X what the Spirit cost. Prettier ship? Yes. Food better? Yes? Better time? Nope. Alaska was fabulous both trips. I’m not high maintenance, get me where I’m going, I’m really not going to complain unless it’s something major. The only cruise problem I can ever really remember is NCL kept cancelling excursions, and I know that wasn’t all their fault, but they handled them horribly. Some they didn’t tell us, took forever for refunds, one I called to cancel because it was the train going to Canada that wasn’t going to happen. A week later, had to call again because the rep didn’t cancel it! My point is, the grass may look greener but there are still problems but they might just be way more expensive problems.
  4. I’ve always been afraid to try the chefs table because the food looks a little “exotic”? I’m more of a meats and potatoes kinda girl.
  5. I’ll tell you my experience taking my GD to Alaska this past summer, different last names. She just cruised with a birth certificate. Her mom, my daughter, has custody. She gave me a notarized letter. No one asked to see it. I was glad to have it in case of emergency, but I over stressed it. No one cared.
  6. I don’t think so, not that I’ve seen. We will taxi or Uber. No desire to rely on a shuttle. We reserved a room near the airport with choice rewards.
  7. We are flying into John Wayne Orange County SNA, I hear it’s better then LAX. We land around 5 on Friday so staying near airport instead of fighting the 5:00 traffic. Figure Saturday morning traffic would be easier.
  8. I agree about guest services, you never know. I had a luggage issue, and had to go several times. The regular line was LONG. I was glad to have FTTF. Guy behind me had some snide remarks for the rep when I walked away, she had to explain I had purchased fttf. I laughed. Whatever. But also cut the l8ne greeting on, tendering, getting to room. We did buy it for February and plan to keep it. After that I will be platinum. Woo hoo
  9. I’ve heard of the calls offering upgrades for a fee, never got one, but finally got an email offer for our next cruise. We booked a super cheap cruise that was interior first floor, couldn’t pass it up, and after final payment got an email offer that moved us to lido for $54. Took it quick!
  10. I bought it for our February cruise so anxiously awaiting to hear everyone’s experience. I’ve read we can drop our bags but no access to the room until the normal 1:30, which is fine. But if we don’t have a separate line and early boarding then I’ll just cancel. $130 isn’t worth it.
  11. San Juan is cool….once. St Maarten way better.
  12. I saw a sale on another cruise line where the 2nd guest is free. 3&4 are free, free drinks, free dining, free excursions, etc etc, and it came out close to $8000 for a standard balcony room. 🤣🤣🤣🤣. What a great sale!
  13. I’m going to buy it if possible. We are cruising the Panorama in February and have heard it’s a madhouse checking in. And going directly to our room is an advantage we love. This is my last cruise as gold, so after that I’m one of the cool kids. 🤣🤣🤣
  14. We were booked deck 1 PH on Panorama for our February cruise and just got a $54 offer to upgrade to a Lido interior and jumped on it! (Initial cruise was a killer deal) I was not thrilled about being on deck 1. We also bought thermal suite-passes for the week and will be right close. 😁
  15. We got a killer deal on the Panorama and 2 stops are Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. Been to both for land vacations, no real reason to want to visit so going to stay on the ship. We have a therma spa pass for the week and going to take advantage of that and the pools. Really looking forward to those 2 days!! Haven’t been to Cabo so do have an excursion booked there.
  16. It was the highlight of my trip! I went on NCL in May because I wanted to go to Glacier Bay, but I think Tracey was better. And the reason was the small boat excursion. Without it, it would have been very disappointing. (No idea why the last picture is upside down)
  17. Havana on the Vista was awesome. I’d definitely do an interior, not a balcony. So quiet compared to the CRAZY lido. We just got an offer to upgrade on our Panorama from deck one to Havana for $700, but took the $54 to the lido instead. This was a cheap cruise, so trying to keep it as cheap as we can. The $700 was more then we paid total!!🤣
  18. The sea day brunch is wonderful. It’s a nice relaxing start to the day. Good food, WAY better then the buffet.
  19. I had it, but I don’t gamble much so it was a pain. I would go to the bar and ask a server getting drinks filled and they always helped me out and the bartender would hand me the drink. Always tipped also. Then I would generally leave… lol
  20. Stock was in the $6 range recently, and $9.10 tonight at close. At $100 each cruise credit it was totally worth it to me. Hopefully they don’t cut the benefit.
