Great news!! I know what your daughter, son, DH and friends were going through to get those prized tickets! I've seen my daughter and grandsons when the latest game, etc. goes on sale at midnight....your daughter must be on seventh Heaven now that their "golden tickets" have finally been attained!

Don't be in a big rush to get rid of a jacket or long pants! I keep those in my closet in Naples for the occasional cool/cold days that we've experienced during the Winter months in Florida. Long sleeves, also! It does happen!🙄

It would be good for him to get out on his own, but as Marietta said, enjoy him while you have him home!❤️ You're not kidding about the colors (and cobwebs..lol) We have two stained glass windows in our living room. When we moved to this home 6 years ago, I thought one of the colors on the windows were brown. I seriously couldn't believe that they are actually in the purple family, and not brown at all! I also couldn't believe the color of my Hellman's mayonnaise! It looked so weird to me!🤷‍♀️

Not only do they keep us hopping, but they keep us young!😉 Or so they say! God, I love them!!

We lucked out in finding our home with attached apartment...mother/daughter home. We love our empty nest in Florida! Actually, we love having our grandsons around...they are such great kids! Jack has been busing tables at their dad's restaurant all Summer, and Ryan joined him for the first time last night!

I'm sorry to hear about your macular degeneration. My Mom had it also. I have the eye doctor check my eyes every year for any sign of it...

We still have lots of leaves on the trees on the side of our house and our neighbors. The ones in our back yard have lost a lot more. Well it was certainly a busy day for your grandson"s having played two games today. It certainly sounds like he is a great player! It had to be hard for the kids once the time expired in the championship game, but an awesome season in order to get to that championship game in the first place! You must be one proud Grampa!!🏈

Thank you, John! It really is great watching the kids play. A big help with following Meghan, is that she has pink sneakers. The majority of the girls on the team have long dark hair like Meghan, so the sneakers are most helpful!😉 When Ava is playing (although we're fortunate to watch in person) it helps that her hockey stick is yellow, and her captain arm band is yellow also. It just makes it to much easier to follow!

Last night, our granddaughter Meghan and her team became the CCC North Champs in Girls Field Hockey. Meghan is also a Captain on her team. Luckily for us, we're able to watch our grandchildren on YouTube for most of their games. On Thursday evening, we were watching Meghan's game. They were ahead 1 to nothing for most of the game, and just toward the end of the game, the other team scored, tying up the game. They were going into overtime, and whichever team scored first, they would win the game. The clock was set for 10 minutes, and both teams went onto the field. I looked down at my phone, and Meghan's team scored, winning the game! So exciting for the girls...I can't believe I missed the shot...they couldn't have been on the field for an entire minute when I looked away.

Scary. Thank goodness your friend was okay in the end. I can't even imagine...

Bonnie, I understand your anxiety about the surgery. I felt the same way. Can your dr prescribe something for the day of surgery? I have anxieties at times, and the dr gave me something to take. I've had both eyes done...truly, it's a piece of cake! (not really cake, but you'll be amazed at how painless it is) The biggest bonus is...wait for it....no more eyeglasses!!!! It's a win-win! You'll do great! Great news about your ankle!!!! LOL--Jim uses the word knucklehead!! It's so crazy that cats go into small objects; I saw where a cat actually climbed into an empty fish bowl and fit! (or was it here on our thread, that I saw it??🤷‍♀️)

I had a weird experience right after I posted a couple of hours ago. As I went to "like" someone's post, CC just totally stopped working for me! I could no longer get on, so I knew it was time for me to go outside and begin the outside work that was waiting for me. After coming back in, I was hoping the wonkiness was over, and happily, here I am again!😁 I still can't log in to my phone, though..🤷‍♀️

Happiness is having a working dryer!! I'm glad it was fixed and tubing and vent cleaned out. Great news! I worked in 2 Broadway right after Graduation, back in 1966. I worked for Moore-McCormack Lines (the Lobby had one of our cruise ships in a case there...the ships were the Argentina and the Brazil, if I remember right). I may have mentioned at another time, that my Dad had helped to build 2 Broadway. I then moved to Ft. Lauderdale with 2 of my girlfriends, and from there I traveled to Monterey, California and stayed with family friends, until I could meet up with my brother in San Diego, where he was stationed with the Navy. All leave got canceled, so I came back to NY, where I began working on Park Avenue, as an Executive Secretary. As I mentioned yesterday, after my boss passed away, I began working downtown again, for White and Case, which if I remember right, was on Maiden Lane.
