  1. Have a wonderful time on your Road Trip! My Mom was there for me with my girls, most especially when both twins had high fevers at 3 months old and cried nonstop. I've driven up to Massachusetts and babysat weekly while my daughter was doing student teaching. I have wonderful memories of baby Erin and I going for walks. Baby Erin just became an RN this past week! We are beyond excited as well as so very proud of her!!!
  2. I hear you about the black dog hair. Luckily, Lola doesn't shed. I'm glad you had a great time with your granddaughters, Deb!🥰
  3. @Husky1987 Larry, I am so sorry to hear of your loving Uncle Russ' Passing. He sounds like a wonderful Uncle to have had in your life. I'm sure you'll cherish all of the great memories you have of him. May he Rest in Peace.🙏
  4. Debbie, this is so heartbreaking. What a wonderful and generous man Bill was. Again, I am so sorry for you and Eric, as well as for Bill's son and Bill's girlfriend. He is now Resting in Peace.🙏
  5. I am so very sorry to hear of Eric's dear friend Bill passing away after so many years of being on dialysis. So sad that he never got the chance of receiving a new kidney. Rest in Peace, Bill.🙏 ((Hugs)) to Eric.
  6. We had to buy a tadpole for our Koi Pond yesterday. About 2 or 3 years ago, we were thrilled to find a baby Koi was born that Spring. For the next 2 or 3 years, I would look to see if there were any new offspring, but never happened. This Spring, I was excited to see we had a new member in our Pond. About a month ago, I saw another small fish. Wow! That was exciting, but we now had a total of 10 fish. That's enough for the size of our Pond. I would wait for the new small black fish to come out from under the rocks to eat. Great entertainment for me..lol! It's actually so relaxing to just sit by the Pond and watch the fish. Very Zen. While I was sitting there last week, I saw another little black fish. Uh oh! We now have to take steps to stop the population from exploding; we now have 11 Koi. Last month while at the Koi store, I saw a tank full of tadpoles, and I was told that people buy them to keep the fish population from expanding. They live in the Pond with the fish and eat any roe that the fish lay.
  7. We also are paying over $6,000 for our Beyond cruise next March, but I believe it is that high due to going to the Panama Canal. I've never paid near that price on any of our Celebrity cruises.
  8. That's so good to hear! We've been to one or two of her Concerts years ago. We went to a Melanie Concert two years ago, and it was really sad to not only see her walk on the stage with a cane and the assistance of her son, but the voice she once had is no longer there,😢 We had been to many of her Concerts in the 60's and early 70's
  9. @bobmacliberty When is your daughter's big day? The Wedding must be soon approaching.😊 I haven't been to Savannah in quite a few years. Renovating an old Power Plant into a Hotel is interesting. We stayed at a Hotel in Monterey California that was originally an old Bank.
  10. Great picture, April! It reminds me of when our oldest daughter got married to our SIL, a graduate of the Coast Guard Academy in Ct. He was in uniform, and all of their groomsmen were in uniform. As Jen and Tom came out of the Academy Church, they walked under the swords that the groomsmen held up in an arch.
  11. Our towns Fireworks display was canceled on the 3rd, since rain and storms were predicted. Never did have rain then, nor yesterday when rain and storms were predicted. My daughter always says we live in a "bubble" since we scarcely get the storms that are almost always predicted. I'm not complaining, believe me! The Fireworks are now scheduled to go off tonight. While we live behind the High School where the Fireworks take place, we do have to go in the front of our house instead of the backyard, since there are so many trees both in our yard and the woods that run behind our home.
  12. I saw her story on the News, and I was surprised to see so many young women with ALS. Jim's Mom had ALS, but she was in her 70's when she was diagnosed.
